My best friend and I booked a candle massage, hair wash/style and makeup for her wedding day. From beginning to end we were looked after, given drinks even a glass of wine! We were made to feel extremely relaxed, important and not rushed. I would love to go back again. All the therapists and stylist who looked after us were so friendly, professional and went out their way to make us happy. The only negative is they need a bigger makeup range! But they work well with what they have.

As we are an exclusive Aveda salon and spa we only use their make up; however Aveda are relaunching their make up range, starting with lipsticks this Spring, hoorah! So do watch this space :)

I was treated to a voucher from here for one of their spa treatments, when I arrived I was greated by a smile (which is always good) I got taken downstairs to this beautiful treatment area. Rebecca looked after me and she was so welcoming and made me relax very quickly. I had a full body scrub, full body massage, facial, manicure and pedicure, all of my treatments were perfect and Rebecca listened to me about what I wanted with each treatment. Rye Retreat is amazing and I will be going back again and again!

Had another fantastic haircut from Natalie, who really understood what my hair needed so I left the salon feeling great. Really enjoyed the complementary mini massages and free drinks - thank you!

My whole experience was perfect as soon as I entered the salon. I was greeted by smiling faces at reception and the lovely Aveda aroma! I was met by Greg, who took me downstairs and would be doing my treatment for me. After a thorough consultation he started my full body massage..... Wow! The hot towels, the beautiful oils, the pressure. It was dreamy! Afterwards I was given some water, lemon sorbet, a hot neck cushion and Greg told me where all my aches and knots were, he recommended a further massage and some oil. This salon is gorgeous, Moroccan drapes, lanterns and plants everywhere.
I will definitely be back. What a perfect start to a Sunday. Thank you!

Just had a fantastic 60min. Stress fix massage with Rebecca and I can thoroughly recommend it. She understood my needs (I have ongoing back issues) and recommended the appropriate massage then duly delivered a very relaxing yet highly effective treatment. I most definitely will be back

Lovely coffee on arrival. Booked in for a 90 minutes of treatments. Went into treatment room at 10.20 but was out of room within 80 minutes and those 80 minutes included the consultation and time to undress and dress. Room was chilly and I was unable to relax as there was noise from toilet and stairs which were next to the treatment room - as well as footsteps on floor above. Relaxation area for use after the treatment and the sorbet is a lovely touch - as is the light lunch which the staff can arrange to be brought in from a local cafe. I feel the pricing is out of kilter with other salons - especially as my treatment advertised as being 90 minutes was actually around 70 minute treatment but the cost was £95. I am sorry to say I found the overall experience disappointing and I will not be returning.

Both myself and my husband had a lovely 90 minute hot stone massage at the rye retreat spa and absolutely loved every minute - the massage was one of the best I've had and helped me to completely relax and unwind. I highly recommend this lovely little spa with all its lovely extra little treats - beautiful decor - complimentary lemon sorbet and tea and coffee etc - the therapists were very friendly and knowledgeable. I cannot wait till our next visit - highly recommend this lovely place to those needing a bit of TLC and pampering

We both booked in for a 45 minute neck, shoulder & back massage on Friday, with one of us going in at 4pm, whilst the other enjoyed some quiet time in the relaxation area until 4:30pm.
On arrival we were welcomed warmly & asked to complete a small form including name & address etc, along with any medical information they may need to know about.
I went into a small room, which was comfortably heated & had relaxing music playing.
My therapist (Daisy) explained what would she would do throughout the massage.
Using smell only, I was asked to select my preference from 3 scented oils.
Warm towels were placed on my feet for a a minute or so, before being removed & my feet re-covered with towles at normal temperature.
The massage was wonderful.
By the end, I was very relaxed.
Daisy told me that she would prepare some refreshments for me & I was to meet her back in the relaxation area when I was ready.
Once there, Daisy advised on aftercare of drinking lots of water & ensured I felt ok, before she left me to sit quietly with a glass of cold water, a refreshing lemon sorbet & a warm pad across my shoulders.
By the end of the session, both of us had very much enjoyed our time at The Rye Retreat.

I took my daughter here on Friday for my birthday, for a back massage and facial. The downstairs spa is in a beautiful setting - there's a pretty courtyard to look out on (or sit in) with flowers and a fountain. Inside the loungers are a cosy, relaxing place to unwind before and after your treatments, with drinks provided. The therapists were both delightful and attentive, taking time to find out our preferences before treatment. We adored the refreshing lemon sorbet afterwards too. Highly recommended thank you.
