This place is beyond amazing. My husband got me a full body massage, facial, manicure and pedicure for mothers day. The staff is soooo friendly, the place is extremely beautiful, and just between the woman that did my full body massage (I think her name was carol) and Megan that did my facial, they have well over 20 years of experience just between the two of them! You can tell they love their job and they love their customers! I'm literally in awe of this place. Thank you so much skinsational!!

Skinsational Spa is AMAZING! The moment you walk in the door, you feel immediately whisked into a lush paradise and it smells wonderful. We were greeted by a friendly and warm receptionist who checked us in and got us seated in their bright and happy waiting room. We sipped on Mimosas while we waited for our technicians. The body treatments I received were phenomenal and my technician Nancy is truly a highly skilled professional, bar none. From the high end seaweed muds and scrubs to the Vichy shower and incredibly relaxing massage I felt like royalty the whole time. If you're looking for spa/beauty treatments and mani/pedis too - This Is THE Place! I will be back!

I came here for my birthday a few years back. I had a massage, facial, and manicure. The manicure was definitely the best of the three treatments. Both the massage and facial were subpar to say the least. My boyfriend paid for a pedicure but they couldn't give me a pedicure that day for whatever reason so they gave me a credit instead of giving me a refund. Later that year I received another credit here for $100 as a Christmas present from a relative. So basically I had about $130-$150 in credit here (I should've insisted on getting cash).
A couple months ago I called to finally redeem my credit on a facial. When I called, I asked the receptionist to look up my account so I could find out exactly how much money I had to redeem. To which she explained to me that the store has changed owners since then and she could assure me that the new owners would not honor my credit!?! That makes absolutely no sense to me! Where did MY money go between owners? Did either the previous owner or the new owner just cash out the money that I had spent here without honoring any services?!?!
This business is completely shady and should not be trusted!!! I will NEVER come to this dishonest, untrustworthy, CON of a spa again! If you want to go someplace a lot nicer that would never steal from their customers, go to the Inn in Rancho Santa Fe! Skinsational is a total sham of a spa!
And some advice to anyone who decides to come here... If they do not fulfill all of the services that you've paid for, demand your money back because you will never see it again!
SHAME ON YOU SKINSATIONAL!!!! The new owners should change the name to SCAMSATIONAL!

I spent a totally relaxing and reinvigorating morning here. Massage, facial and pedicure and sat in their "sanctuary." I definitely will return.

Often resort towns have remarkably expensive salons and spas. Skinsational is reasonably priced, well staffed, well maintained, and located on a great central spot.

Wow. Really exceptional experience here. I had the best massage of my life from a gentleman named Gary. Very unique style--I was a rag doll by the time he finished. Had a facial with Amanda and she was also fabulously gifted with a wonderful sense of touch. Great ambience here. Loved the mimosas and mint tea in the sanctuary. So relaxing. I did not love the seating for my pedicure--high up with straight backs and no good way to lean your head back or relax your neck. But if I lived out here I'd start a fan club for Gary and Amanda!

Fabulous! Got a facial, back facial, mani and pedi. Facial was simple and involved a lot of massage. Back facial was like a massage with creams and scrubs and cleansing thrown in. Awesome. Mani and pedi were both well done. My only problem with the mani/pedi was the silence, but I'm just awkward anyway. The chair for the pedicure is super cool. I took a shower at the end of the day. There was no place to change except the toilet unless I wanted to get my stuff soaked in the shower. I managed and am just being picky. I'm sure many people have no problem.
I really recommend and wish I lived here so I could visit again.

To visit Carlsbad California, anytime of the year, is truly an experience of a life time (or two.)
Fortunately for me, I live here. I am well acquainted with the more entertaining aspects of "The Carlsbad Experience". Even in the deep of winter or the heat of summer can you and your family
find a more suitable sanctuary. As a local, I do find the time to take advantage of certain establishments here at home. When I want to escape another seriously perfect day in North County San Diego, I retreat to Sensations Day Spa in The Village at Carlsbad. A complete package of niceties to sooth even the most spoiled Californians and their visitors from abroad. I highly recommend The Couples Massage in an incredible oasis of warmth and intimacy. Two very capable and qualified Massage Therapists greet you and a guest in the waiting area with utter professionalism and two oversized velure robes. As you enter The Couples Suite, you'll begin to sense the feeling of calmness and all at once, both you and your guest will look across the room and then at each other and just let go. Strawberries dipped in choclate, Champagne on ice, a roaring fire, a shower built for two and a dimly lit area I like to call, Heaven. Enjoy visitors!
