Creekside BnB is a beautiful, century, home built on a very quitet cul-de-sac in one of regina's most beautiful older nirghbourhoods. The home on the Heritage Homes walks, and is listed as a highlight on that walk. It is the last home on the street before one reaches an access to the trail system along the Wascana Creek,. This links to the wonderful park land which surrounds the man made Lake Wascana. The welcome we recieved from host, Edith Mountjoy was among the best we've recieved in our 35+ years of BnB stays. We felt we'd just arrived home! All the wood, and there is a lot of it, on the main floor rooms is in the original finish. Eye candy for those, like me, who love to see that craftsmanship of a bygon era. It was a treat to come to the breakfast able to enjoy Edith's terrific, fresh made, breakfasts in the ambaince of all that old wood crafsmanship. The BnB is a very short walk to the paths of Wascana Park where walking, cycling and just relaxing are on offer. As well, a walk of 10-12 minutes has you right in the heart of Regina. The Saskatchewan Museum is close to the park, as is the Saskatchewan Legislature. Both are a must. There are many, very good, restaurantts which we found within waliking distance from the BnB. We were there for 5 days and had a difficulty decideng on which place to go for eats each evening. Of the five we went to, all would have been return destinations, had we been staying longer. Be sure to ask as Edith has great suggestions, both for places to eat, have a nce coffee ans snack, and appenings in the arts and literature in Regina! As I said, we were there for five, full, days and found Edith to be a ray of sunshine every day. She has lived in the city for decades and is an out-going member of the Regina Community. A great resource! As well, she is a treat, to be sure. All in all, it is an easy task to recommend a stay with Edith at Creek Side Terrace. We were more than happy to have found Edith's place as our "home" in Regina. Going back would be easy... A tip: If possible, I suggest that you consider the second floor "suite" which has an ensuite, and alrge sitting area with cable TV and acomfprtable chairs, along with a large desk which we found very handy to lay out maps and do planning for the next day's adventure. With WiFi throught out the house, access to online was perfect. Nice to be able to do research, check menues, send e-mail and check on things happening at home, and around the world.…
