Easy to find near Jollibee Mendez. Place used to be a grill restaurant converted to mini rooms. The whole place needs renovation and new look to appeal. Bathrooms are a bit small but has working heaters. Rooms have good overlooking view of Taal. Acceptable for folks on a tight budget.
I think the place is very old. The room shows that it needs renovation. I have nothing to say about the view, it was definitely delivered. We asked for theVeranda room, and yes we had our own table and bench to stay just admiring the view of taal lake. The Location was very good, it was not hard to find since it was almost in front of Jollibee, accessible since its by the high way, buses, jeeps and tricycles pass by it. It also has free breakfast, we were able to enjoy that in our veranda, with the very cool morning wind and bright sun in our faces. I hope they renovate the place, since the Location would be worth much more if they beautify the hotel. Well, you get what you pay for so its basic, room is spacious with cable TV, fridge, hot&cold water. Bathroom is very small though. Bed was quite thin also. But we really just needed a place to stay, last time we went to Tagaytay,we stayed at Discovery Country Suites which was very pricey. For a change, we spent money on activities, like zipline and spa.…
the location is convenient, along the main highway, allowing one can walk to mendez market and bag of beans resto and coffee shop. it has a motel-ish look and atmosphere. the room shown to my group looked clean and, to clinch the deal, the view from the balcony was awesome. water supply was plentiful. the downside: few toiletries provided (you have to buy your shampoo), the heater and shower tap had to be gushing water at the same time if you wanted a warm shower. the room has a musty smell and the bathroom door was rotting at the bottom the prices should be very reasonable by tagaytay rates but it pays to know the inn's internet-quoted rates in advance to avoid the inflated prices quoted by the otherwise attentive staff.
Value for money, nice budget place to stay. Unbelievable view, the view outside the room is awesome, definitely worth for the money.. Located near crossing mendez (5mins walk), just take any jeeps from tagaytay rotonda to the hostel. 8 peso per trip only.
My cousin, my youngest daughter aged 4, and I went to Tagaytay to attend another cousin's wedding at Taal Vista Hotel. Since the wedding is on a late afternoon and we were traveling by public transportation, we decided we needed a place where we could relax upon arriving from Manila in the morning, and where we could freshen up and prepare before going to the event. As we could not afford the accomodations at the wedding venue, we wanted a relatively cheap hotel that was comfortable, but within the area and still overlooking Taal volcano. We saw Starflower in the internet so I called to reserve one night before leaving for Tagaytay. The hotel is easy to find, the staff were friendly, and at P1,800 per night, the room had just enough of what we needed. The atmosphere was peaceful and the view of the Taal greenery, lake and volcano was beautiful. We had lunch at the Jollibee restaurant across the street, then we took my daughter to a zoo before going back to our room. After a short nap, we were set for the wedding. We came back at around 10 pm and slept well. The following morning, we headed to Manila feeling relaxed and happy to have enjoyed the cool Tagaytay air. .…
