As in the most of German towns also in Donauworth is the town hall the most beautiful and the most impressive building in the town. In summer decorated with flowers it was outstanding. I don´t think one would travel to Donauworth just because of their town hall but as the town is charming I recommend visiting it and by this occasion stop also by this building.

このドナウヴェルトの市庁舎は旧市街地の南側にあるリーダー門をくぐると目の前にあります。メインストリートの東端になります。建物にはツーリストインフォメーションがはいいています。建物もルネッサンス様式の魅力的なものです。

The construction of the Town Hall lasted from 1236 to 1308. The third floor was added in the XVI century. The main attraction of the Town Hall is the Carillon, playing from 11 to 16 hours. The author was Werner von Egk, a native of Donauwerth, whose Opera "Peer Gynt" was the delight of Goebbels and Hitler in 1938. The motive of tourists to stay here longer is the Tourist information that is in the building.

Very helpful English speaking staff at Information center who help and guide you with all your queries. Unfortunately hardly any of the pamphlets are in English !! A bit difficult for non German speaking persons !!

Het stadhuis,van oorsprong uit de middeleeuwen, is na diverse branden e.d. in een gotische stijl is herbouwd, vanaf medio 19e eeuw tot het einde van die eeuw. Eind 20e eeuw zijn nog renovatiewerkzaamheden uitgevoerd. De gevellijn aan de Spitalstraat heeft een mooie toegang met trap en daarboven zie je het wapen van de stad met de dubbele arend, dat dateert uit 1530. De bijgevoegde foto toont de gevel die uitziet op de Reichsstrasze met zijn mooi gevels, waar horeca, winkels e.d. zijn gevestigd. Van een van de topgevels is ook een foto bijgevoegd. Het centrum van deze plaats is op het einde van de 2e wereldoorlog zwaar beschadigd door bombardementen, daarna opnieuw op gebouwd in zijn oorspronkelijke bouwstijl o.a. renaissance..

Construção de 1236 é ampliada em 1308. Apresenta na sua parte ocidental um carrilhão que se apresenta diariamente às 11h e 16 h com canções de peças folclóricas ligadas à cidade de Donauwörth.

O prédio da administração de cor amarela com floreiras nas janelas é muito bonito e apesar da construção ser muito antiga, está muito bem cuidado e tem que ser fotografado. Fica em uma das extremidades da rua principal

It is the town hall of Donauwörth. A big yellow house with 9 bells and a clock on the facade at the beginning of Reichstrasse. People came in and out with papers in their hands so we didn't go inside. Took some pictures and walked further
