The most beautiful hike of our vacation :-) We set off from Demänovská Dolina on the yellow trail around the Zadná voda reservoirs. The path runs along the stream of the same name, i.e. rather a stream in places. After the rains, the stream was somewhat larger. At the junction of the Three Waters, it was necessary to cross the stream over branches and stones, as the original path was under water. This was followed by the ascent to the Poľana saddle. A beautiful valley full of flowers where we were almost alone. We only met about 10 people. From the saddle of Poľana, the route continues with a shorter climb to Poľana Hill and then to Zákľuky. Then you can just enjoy the views from the ridge. It is beautiful. And maybe you'll meet a few chamois like us (Note that the road is only open during the summer because of them. From 1 October to 30 June, the area is closed only to chamois - see photo). The Bor and Havrany hills follow, where the path plunges into the forest, but is still quite nice. Unfortunately, the challenging part of the journey starts from the Sinej saddle, if you can find it :-) At the Sinej saddle signpost, there is a turn to the right down the hill, but the path turns further after the signpost. For a long time, you walk through the grass taller than you are. At the time of our hike, it was after the rains, so the mud was still very slippery, it would not have been possible without walking sticks. When you finally get out of the grass, there is a path through roots and a stream. We crossed it all the time or walked right along its bed. It was possible in the mountains and the feet stayed dry :-) The path ends at the road below the Svoboda cave (closed this year). We had a small snack at Bistro u Jakub and then returned by bus to Demänovská Dolina.
