Really enjoyed our visit, the food was lovely and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend and children really enjoyed their food.

We visited for lunch on Monday September 19 on the recommendation of our London friends who originally come from the area. We were made to feel most welcome by the manager and the locals, too!
We were staying in Cork and it was well worth the bus ride. All the food is home made and my boyfriend said the Guinness was the best he had tasted during the whole holiday.

My granny asked me to write this review! They were driving for two hours and we’re hanging for a cup of tea. However on a Monday it is merely impossible to find somewhere good to eat. They stumbled across Geary’s, who were unfortunately only starving drinks. While my grandad used the loo, my nana told the bar man (maybe owner) about how hungry they were and how far they travelled. He very kindly offered a cup of tea but informed them the kitchen was closed on Mondays.
He was clearly a very kind man and decided he was going to make my grandparents some food for their tea break. Well I’ve never seen two happier customers. They said they received a gorgeous sambo and snack bar and the kindness of this stranger has brightened their entire week. Thank you to this man for being so selfless and thoughtful! I will be popping in soon to try this sambo 👍🏼💛

Blown away with this place, the staff were all so helpful and of course the Irish hospitality was 2nd to none.
On the Sunday for lunch we all had the roast rack of bacon with cabbage and potatoes….wow it was sensational we virtually licked the plates clean. I would return to Ireland for that alone.

If passing through Charleville and fancy a bite to eat or if you want to experience a warm and friendly bar for a night out with great food, drinks including cocktails and live bands than this is the place to go. Have popped in here many times and highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised with the new menu, crockery etc. The service was pleasant, relaxed but efficent and we we're checked in on to make sure everything was spot on.
I had the protein bowl with extra chicken and was delighted with it...crunchy and felt healthy. I tasted the Kerala chicken and it was exotically delightful.
Well done to all on the new menu.

Just had a fabulous meal, Steak sandwich and Noreens chicken goujons!!! Wow... Fantastic wine (try the Spanish white)... Thanks to Rory and Sarah... Wonderful staff.

We recently passed through Charleville while doing a charity cycle from Mizen to Malin. The staff here were fantastic and really welcoming. We were seated out the back where we could keep an eye on the bikes. Nothing was too much trouble. Great food and an amazing place to stop. Would recommend to anyone in the area. You’ll find it hard to beat!! Thanks for the donation also!!
