I cannot praise these people enough. I booked a private charter on the Francis Egerton for my daughter’s baby shower and from the first enquiry to disembarking the whole experience was flawless.
The boat was beautifully decorated, the staff were very attentive and the food was delicious! Would definitely repeat the experience in the future.

We hired out the Lady Harriet for my Mother-in Law’s 80th birthday.
There were seven of us and we took afternoon tea on to the barge. The boat was lovely spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. It has a shower, toilet and a well stocked kitchen.
We did get there early and the team had already put Birthday decorations up, which was a lovely touch!
As lovely and historical as this part of the canal was, the whole trip was really topped off by the driver Brian. A lovely chap who let the kids small and big have a go at driving the boat. He also added some real historical insights along the trip, but was never intrusive into the family celebrations.
We had a lovely time, including our octogenarian First class would highly recommend!

Wonderful birthday surprise for a friend on Thursday 16th March 2023. The boat is first class, warm and comfy, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Already planning my next trip for friends who will be visiting from New Zealand. Loved the whole experience and totally recommend. 5 star plus.

Wonderful Sunday Lunch cruise, staff very friendly and attentive, all 3 courses delicious and served at a relaxed pace.Bar on board,very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend and hope to travel again .

We come here every year as Nana was born In Walkden and now lives on the Fylde. Today was fantastic as we had three generations of our family on the cruise, everything was faultless, the ladies who looked after us are fantastic and down to earth.. Nana is a city fan so you can imagine the banter. The food was absolutely amazing and was 5 star and I have travelled a bit to give this such a high rating.. we had our grandson with us and he loved it too.. fabulous see u soon 😘 thanks so much

Booked this afternoon tea cruise for my mum’s 70th birthday and it definitely didnt disappoint. It was a cold day, but the boat was toasty and warm while we cruised along. The food was absolutely delicious and I loved the little soups that came in little tea cups. The service was amazing. The ladies who served us on board the boat were always on hand to make sure we had drinks and a top up of tea and coffee which was unlimited the whole trip. Overall a fabulous afternoon and my mum really enjoyed it too. Would defo book again for another occasion 😁

Spent a lovely Saturday afternoon on the Bridgewater afternoon tea cruise, we got a table at the front of the boat with a lovely view, it was a chilly day but once we set off we were nice and toasty onboard. We ordered a drink from the bar and relaxed, the afternoon tea came out and it looked delicious, and from the little cup of soup to the sandwiches and cakes none of it disappointed, the ladies on board kept the tea flowing and the day drifted away. We will definitely be booking again and want to try the other cruises on offer.

What a fabulous afternoon sailing along the water. Excellent hosts, food and staff. This is my 8th time on the river. I have celebrated birthdays anniversaries and many more celebrations. The food is excellent better than any 4 star that I have been in. Cannot wait to return again. It definitely has my thumbs up.

Really really good. The food was lovely, service was fantastic, boat really clean too couldn't fault a thing. They even gave us a certain table knowing we were celebrating valentines (it was a gift for my partner) it really was a wonderful trip out.

We had a lovely afternoon tea cruise but I know they do Sunday lunch cruises . I don’t know what they cost so you will need to get info from the company . We were very pleased with everything about the service and would recommend .

Do trips cater for people who cannot walk properly or wheelchairs.

The answer re wheelchairs is No.
The written instructions we received in response to our booking asked us to note the following important information:-
" Unfortunately due to the design of the vessel there is no disabled access or facilities onboard".
As previously stated you board the vessel by stepping over the side and down some steps but the crew will willingly help people to get on if necessary.

The company have a new cruising luxury restaurant boat. They have some great Sunday Lunch or afternoon tea trips that you can book or you can hire the whole boat for yourself. All the prices/dates are available on their website.
