Absolutely fantastic service, great equipment and trip we kayaked to the maltsters had a brief stop for refreshments and then a leisurely paddle back to the quay at Stoke Gabriel

We really enjoyed this trip. Everything we needed, including dry bags for our things, was waiting ready for us. The route suggested was perfect and so quiet. Would definitely recommend this company. What a lovely place to visit

Our family of four had a fabulous 3hr trip in double kayaks up the River Dart. As near-novices to water sports, Hugh was great with showing us the ropes and setting us on our way. We meandered up stream enjoying the beautiful views and experiencing a river from a completely different vantage point. The riverside pub provided a chance to stretch our legs, before winding our way back to Stoke Gabriel. The cafe alongside the jetty provided a place to sit a while longer, and enjoy the life around the River Dart. I would highly recommend Totnes Kayaks, it was a perfect day's outing.

We were so impressed with Mark and his set up at Stoke Gabriel. What a lovely, friendly laid back man - he sent us off happily with our three double kayaks for a two hour trip down the river and we had such a fun time. Glorious weather in a gloriously pretty location and a very good experience for three generations of the family. We also saw him with canoes at the river near Maltsters pub and that looked fun for a group being guided by Mark too.

My husband was given a helping hand today to recover his 2 paddles from the mud at Stoke Gabriel after losing them yesterday.
He wants to thank the instructor from Totnes kayaks who assisted him in their recovery. Such a professional and kind man - thoroughly recommend this company.

Excellent morning on the kayaks. Very friendly helpful staff . Most of our party hadn’t kayaked before but we all managed the 2 hour adventure along the river Dart. Very pretty scenery, lots of birds and even jumping fish. Lovely way to spend the morning.

Beautiful setting, great kit and a very friendly welcome. I couldn’t recommend this more for families. Also the amazing maltsters arms is within easy paddling reach!

Our family of 5 have had the most amazing 3hrs guided canoe trip up the River Dart with our fab guide Hugh. Hugh was great... very informative and helped us get to grips as this was our first time in a canoe. Nervous canoers need not fear. Highlights included stopping of for a cup of tea, spotting seals, out of this world scenary, and the gentle peace and quiet . Definately would do it again . Thank you Hugh and team

Just had a brilliant 3 hours with Hugh as our guide. My wife andI paddled an Old Town open canoe from Stoke Gabriel up stream to near Totnes. Beautiful scenery, advice and information. We are used to paddling but wanted an introduction to the Dart. This is exactly what we got. So “Thank you” to Totnes Kayaks and Mark and especially Hugh
