I was impressed when first time saw the amazing poems on this long stretching wall. Read a few poems but really did not understand the whole phrase. Realized there were lots more to see while reading other reviews. It was raining and we had only one hour here. It was also the last day of our tour and the next visiting point was shopping at 黄兴路步行街 Huang Xing Road Pedestrian Street. It would be great if we have longer hours till evening so that we can see more beautiful scenes.

Meskipun gak bisa baca tulisan Mandarin, tapi aku mengagumi karya seni ini. Ditulis beribu-ribu puisi sehingga mencapai 3km panjangnya! Aku melihat yang deket2 aja...sekitar bis berhenti😉.

翻新了少了后很多味道，但是景观确实更大气了，诗墙是柳叶湖是底蕴，常德一张好名片，来常德的朋友值得一行，看完诗墙后，吃碗擂茶坐在湖边吹风，悠哉。换手机少了些图片，文字为记。

So impressed when first time saw this fabulous wall full with chinese poems that enable the tourists and locals to walk and jog around but at the same time to read the poems on the wall.

This 4km long wall stretches all the way to the junction leading into the main shopping areas (where the Pedestrian Street is located). i think its an interesting way to decorate a structure that big and that long. My Chinese isnt nearly good enough to appreciate the poetry, but the riverside promenade makes a pleasant walk (in good weather! Summer here is regularly 38-40 deg Celcius...) The locals swim in the river in the evenings in summer!

This wall runs in overlapping layers along one of the main rivers in Changde. The walk is delightful because the river is on one side. The vast length of this wall means that unless you are a middle to long distance jogger, or a race walker, or have a bike, you will have a challenge in walking the entire wall in one visit. One long section of the wall is across the street from the popular Pedestrian Street, which has dozens of fashionable clothing for men and women, inexpensive street vendors selling cooked lotus root, chicken wings, squid, fruit smoothies, high quality nuts, and similar treats, though the food here is very spicy.

湖南的沅江在雨季經常洪水氾濫，常德地區受水患之害，因此在1998年修築堤防抗災，而利用5、6公里長的堤防做成的詩牆美化工程，創造金氏世界記錄～世界最長的「詩牆」。
遊客散步在江畔詩牆公園，依您的腳程，參觀時間可長可短，市區裡不同的路段，皆有出入口進入詩牆公園，自駕或遊覽車也都有方便的停車場，而且詩牆公園參觀是免費的。
