Well-maintained and well-marked trail. Beautiful views. Crystal clear water. Easy to find. In December we were the only hikers.

C'ero stata 20 anni fa e ci sono ritornata a settembre 2022. È davvero un posto stupendo!! Certo scendere e risalire il canyon è faticoso ma poi ti ritrovi in un vero paradiso!!

Ma anche no... Chiuso dal 2017 x mancanza di manutenzione lasciano entrare i turisti a rischio e pericolo loro...

Very hot even in September when temperatures were still in the mid 30s.
The main path is closed with an iron gate due to the dangerous condition of the path, however the car park attendant allows you to climb over the gate, presumably as a test.
The path is hard with lots of loose stones which makes for slow going
I was first down so enjoyed the pools to myself for about 30 min. then others began to appear, slowly at first then more and more so I stared the upward climb.
More and more people, some wearing flip flops and even small children!
The climb out was hot, hot, hot!
The experience was spoiled mainly by the amount of rubbish, tissues, wet wipes, etc. dropped which seems to be a major problem in Sicily.
A bit further down the rad there is a second access to different pools which is open so we did this the next day. Much more enjoyable as not only is the path better but the access is shaded but trees and there are far fewer people and consequently almost no rubbish!
You also get to meander along above the river through a shaded path before returning by Path B which is not so shaded as Path A so if the heat bothers you you could return that way.
Altogether a much more peaceful and enjoyable experience.
However being an elderly Scotsman with Presbyterian masochistic tendencies I would prolly do both again!

Mooi looproute. Bij de ingang kregen we een kaartje met de route. Je kunt kiezen om linksom of rechtsom te lopen. De linkerkant van de route zijn meer trappen; rechts meer steile paden. Zwemmen in het meertje was heerlijk. Wij liepen om 10:30 omlaag in 34 graden maar met redelijk wat schaduw. Rond 13:00 weer omhoog gelopen. Zwaar, maar wel te doen. Auto geparkeerd via Google maps op Laghetto del Cassibile (dit is een andere plek dan de bruine borden aangeven)

Unico sentiero rimasto fruibile ai visitatori e non a pagamento gestito dalla forestale è quello di Mastra Ronna. Ci si arriva da Canicattini Bagni. Laghetti principali sempre bellissimi. Abbiamo trovato meno acqua dovuta alla forte siccità. Il sentiero necessita di qualche intervento di messa in sicurezza.

Des petits lacs émeraudes au milieu des roches et de la nature!
Une belle expérience!
Néanmoins, il faut arriver très tôt pour profiter pleinement du lieu car vers 11h30 tout le monde débarque et l’endroit perd véritablement de son charme.
Vous trouverez un parking en arrivant sur votre droite à 4€ puis en avançant un chalet avec un gardien très aimable qui pourra vous renseigner.
Deux itinéraires sont proposés pour descendre le À ou le B. Le À est plus long mais plus beau et plus agréable.
Attention aux jeunes enfants, la remontée peut-être un peu dure car elle se fait en pleine chaleur.
Prévoir absolument de l’eau et de quoi se restaurer car une fois en bas il n’y a rien hormis la nature!
La baignade est très très fraîche mais véritablement agréable.
Une belle expérience!

Superbe endroit.
Nous avons passé une super journée, les enfants ont adorés plonger et nager dans les piscines.
La descente se fait bien. La montée se fait rapidement finalement. Elle n'est pas compliquée, nous l'avons fait en 30 min avec des enfants de 11 et 14 ans.

Posto top per bellezza e tipicità non mi sarei mai aspettato nel . Cuore della Sicilia un posto così bello e si che essendo del nord sono abituato a frequentare fiumi e laghi alpini., da non sottovalutare la risalita
. Circa 300 mt di dislivello da fare sotto il sole cocente non sono una banalità per chi non abituato a sentieri di montagna... Tenere scorta di acqua almeno mezzo litro per il ritorno, consigliate scarpe da trail running. Sassi scivoloso, ricordatevi che se vi fate male li son o affari seri il s telefono non va. Solo elicottero può arrivare dopo che qualcuno è risalito per 1 ora a piedi a chiamarlo... Detto questo la fatica vale la bellezza del luogo.

Der Ab- (ca. 30 min) und Aufstieg (ca. 40 min/ca. 300 Höhenmeter) lohnen sich definitiv!Das Wasser war klar und super erfrischend (kühler als das Meer). So ein schönes und naturbelassenes Fleckchen findet man nicht oft. Gott sei Dank hatten wir Wanderschuhe eingepackt. Mir ist es nach wie vor ein Rätsel, wie manche Leute diese Tour mit Badelatschen absolvieren konnten….. Viel Wasser einpacken empfiehlt sich auch!

Che io sappia gli animali non sono consentiti all'interno delle riserve. Non li fanno entrare ad esempio nemmeno alla riserva di Vendicari. Ad ogni modo il percorso è molto impervio e spesso serve appoggiarsi con entrambe le mani. Non è prudente portare animali a seguito.

Buongiorno, sono stata ai laghetti 20 anni fa, ricordo una discesa impegnativa ma niente di troppo difficile. Vorrei tornare con amici e bambini di età compresa tra gli 8 e i 13 anni, ma leggo che il sentiero principale (quello con area ristoro e parcheggio) è chiuso ma accessibile scavalcando... ho letto poi di altri due sentieri, più lunghi ma più semplici che portano ad altri laghetti, meno grandi; vorrei sapere se da quelli si arriva comunque anche al lago principale o se vale comunque la pena accontentarsi di questi più piccoli...Grazie per i vostri suggerimenti!

Il paesaggio con i laghetti piccoli è carino, ma certo, non paragonabile a quello dei laghetti grandi.La strada che li collega è lunga e impervia, da fare solo con un esperto del luogo

Piano piano si può scendere, ho visto bimbi di quell’età risalire. In un certo punto il sentiero é crollato ma con un po’ di spirito di avventura si può passare. Acqua a volontà e qualcosa per coprirvi dal sole . Portatevi cambio e scarpe dà trekking. 💪

In quali orari é consigliabile scendere, a fine luglio, insieme a ragazzini tra i 7 e i 17 anni, per fare il bagno e trascorrere qualche ora? meglio mattina o pomeriggio?
Quest'anno con l'emergenza Covid ci sono restrizioni?
Si puó portare del cibo da consumare in riva ai laghetti?

E' sempre preferibile scendere la mattina presto, molto presto, c'è un bel po di strada da fare. Di solito il pomeriggio si risale. Per il cibo è consentito il picnic, ovviamente la forestale controlla il numero dei bagagli in discesa e in salita. Ma soprattutto sta a noi preservare la bellezza di questo posto, come di tutto il nostro pianeta. Per quanto riguarda la ristrettezza Covid, non saprei dire da qui a fine Luglio come staranno le cose. Noi qui abbiamo avuto la fortuna di avere rari casi, abbiamo osservato rigorosamente la quarantena...
Vorrei sapere qual è il percorso più facile da adottare... Grazie
