Nice place to go for a sunset. The bats are very loud so you can’t miss them. They are there in hundreds! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see them fly away in hoards...
the governers mansion is abandoned but you can tell it used to be a beautiful building.
Overall, it was nice to watch the sunset from a bench in front of the tree!

I visited this place today (23 March 2029) You can see the building only from the road as it is fenced.... Hope this will be a great place to visit once renovation is completed. But the bats are still there

Nice to see the thousands of bats flying off at dawn. As there is anyway nlt much to do in Kampong Thom at night this is a great activity for night.
I can recommend that to everyone. Lovely spectacle.

Non c'è niente da vedere, il palazzo del governatore è praticamente in rovina e i pipistrelli giganti sono spariti, non si vedono nemmeno al tramonto.

Haben im Sambor Village Hotel Räder ausgeliehen und sind durch die Stadt gefahren, welche ja nicht gerade wirklich was hergibt - interessant war dieser Platz mit sehr vielen Flughunden in den Baumkronen und hat ein "OooH" aus unserem Munde gezaubert - schade dass das alte französiche Konsulatsanwesen offensichtlich dem Verfall preisgegeben wird

The necklet colonial style building , they said its old provincial building .. its scary to get in l tried and feel like in a horror movie really want to go up stair but not sure they will allow or not , so l just stay in the first floor. Near the building there r huge trees with a lot of big bats .. l didt stay until dusk but saw a lot of students sit near the river bank waiting for them to fly out ..

Detta är inte uppstyrd attraktion utan man drar dit och ställer sig och väntar/glor tills solen går ner. Först tycker man fladdermössen är tråkiga, sen flyger de iväg och det är rätt häftigt (de är stora!) värt om man har en timme innan middag att slå ihjäl. Och huset är ett riktigt gammalt spökhus, hade önskat att veta om man fick gå in där eller inte.

we make it a point to see these bats as they are huge and will fly off from a few huge trees along the Stung Sen river about 500 m from the main highway . about 7 pm will be a good time time to head to the river front . one can watch it on the near bank for a close up view or the far bank to see a panorama view of the river and the bats .

Si vous aimez les chauves-souris faites un petit détour pour admirer une magnifique colonie qui prend ses quatiers dans 3 arbres centenaires. A la tombée de la nuit elles s'envolent pour aller manger. Joli spectacle.
