My husband and I were in the area on a day out and stopped in to see the museum in Hoganäs. The entrance fee was low and we enjoyed our experience. Downstairs there is information about mining in the area . . . .including dinosaur prints! There is a variety of historical information about the town and area. Unfortunately, there is not much English in the exhibitions and not available on the audio guide. The entrance fee also includes the art gallery with ceramics which are also famous in this area.

Höganäs Museum is small and quick to go through. However, it covers a lot of history in the few rooms. The house used to be apartment for miners and one part of the museum shows a miner's home. In the basement you can see how mining in Höganäs was, there is even traces of a dinosaur! In another part of the museum (downstairs), you can see ceramics by local artists, one of the most famous being Åke Holm. I do recommend a visit to the museum when in Höganäs.

Här finner man förutom en förnämlig konsthall ett litet museum, som på ett fint sätt berättar bygdens och stadens historia. I källaren finns en gruvmiljö uppbyggd och i den fd. gruvbion visas videos eller filmer som knyter an till museet eller den pågående utställningen. Museet är inhyst i en gammal gruvarbetarlänga.
I Konsthallen är det hela året många och utmärkta utställningar.
