A fun day out for our daughters birthday. We liked that you could be as involved in mud as you liked and that there were obstacles for different ages. We laughed hard as we went around and enjoyed the flexibility of the 3 hour slot. FYI Lots of obstacles were too hard/high for even our 7 year old but there were lots of other things to keep them entertained. We had a lovely coffee and pizza to top it all off.
My only suggestion is that you make it very clear that the showers are communal and given how much mud you’re coated in it might be advisable to have swimwear underneath to allow you to shower!
Final thing - it’s one of the only things you can book knowing that even if it rains you’ll be ok, in fact that might be better!

A wonderful visit to the Bear Trail last weekend. We were a family group with three age generations and all took an active part in the trail, finding different things for us to enjoy and all coming away covered in mud following a fabulous afternoon.
The site was well thought out, making the most of the available space, the ice creams were delicious and warm showers a necessary finish to the day.

The trail was amazing! Lots of mud to get caked in but at some of the things there wasn't any mud at all?

Thank you for your review. It's great to read what an amazing time you had!
We do always have our large mud swamp and variety of mud pits which we fill daily with fresh water - as you say plenty of mud to get caked in.
Some of the areas do get drier, but we do manually add water every day if required, to always ensure a muddy experience!
We hope you will be back again soon!

Absolutely amazing, well organised, friendly and helpful staff. My youngest granddaughter didn’t want to take part then changed her mind, they were very encouraging even found some foot wear so she could take part

Great day out for all the family. Youngest was 3 and oldest was 60! A great laugh and something different for the family to do.
Doesn’t matter what the weather is as you’ll get wet either way.
Don’t forget a towel or clean underwear- it will be needed!

my son's 10th birthday today and he had a brilliant time. Definitely consider their birthday package, the best birthday package around. Food was good, cake was yummy, kids got absolutely covered in mud, a certificate for each child and a return trip with a paying adult.
thanks to the staff also, very welcoming, helpful and approachable.

Attended for a friends hen do! What a wonderful obstacle course. We all loved the informality of it. Free to roam all over the course. Can do the obstacles as many times as you want. Tonnes of mud.
The hot showers were wonderful on a cold day. Totally agree with other reviews - the showers are open plan so either wear a swimsuit underneath or sensible underwear.
Great facilities - covered area to sit under for food and drink. Plenty of toilets and lockers to get changed in.
We had wonderful hot chocolates and coffees after too. The staff were a little slow but I think this may be because it was the first day of the season.
Overall a wonderful morning out full of so much laughter, mud and memories. Would definitely come again.

I went with a group of friends and children we all had a great time , kids and adults where covered in mud from head to toe, great value afternoon out we will be back ☺️

Third visit yesterday, first colour bomb, and we had an amazing time. From age 8 to 57, everyone had a go! We love that you can do the bits you like, skip any tricky bits, have as many goes as you like and stop for a hot drink before getting muddy all over again. Staff were fantastic too. Don’t forget to wear a swimsuit under your clothes otherwise showering is very tricky!

We were unsure how much mud there would be as it had been so dry but we were not disappointed! The big mud pool in the middle we hadn’t seen before and the kids (and us adults) loved it… how we laughed!! The slide was another favourite and what a treat to have a hot shower at the end of a muddy run around. The party barn was good and the staff were brilliant with the kids and they all got a certificate for getting muddy. Would definitely recommend for anyone that wants their kids to have some time away from screens and get the chance to be kids again!! Thanks Bear Trail

Yes absolutely! We love dogs! We just ask that they are kept on a lead incase some of our guests are not so keen! 🐾

What is the suggested age range for kids? We have a 2yr old and aren’t sure if too grown up for him!

Hi there, The Bear Trail is suitable for all ages. Your two year old should be fine to tackle most of our obstacles, with a bit of adult help of course! We have a fantastic new mud slide that's proving very popular as well as Cubs Corner for younger ones.:)
