This is a fully renovated castle. Very very beautiful, full of interactive element. There are many programs, a guided tour available. You can spend more than and hour here, because there are many rooms to visit and three levels (ground level, upper level and the walls).
You can buy combinated tickets with the Almásy castle and it is a good opportunity.
When we where there, we could take photos with buzzards. They were really friendlyand well behaved. There were also a very small owl for the children.

A well preserved historical relic. It is gothic style castle made of red bricks from the 15th century.
Inisde the castle you can visit a little exhibitons about every day life of past times.
If you go up to the terace of the castle you have an amazing wiev to the city centre and sourandings.
It worts to visit, it takes 1-3 hours to see everything.

Förhållandevis tråkigt att besöka. Finns säkert mycket intressant att berätta om denna Borg, men det når inte fram. Begränsad information på andra språk än ungerska.

A vár talán kisebb a megszokottnál, de érdekesek a kiállított tárgyak. Különösen tetszett az a terepasztal, ahol a törökökkel vívott csatát mutatták be. nagyon szemléletesen.

A pleasant little castle which is the venue for many local events. I don't live in Gyula but I visited it regularly when I had the opportunity. There are no other castles to visit in the nearby towns.

A gyulai vár nagyon szépen karbantartott épület. A város szimbóluma. Szépen parkosított környezetben a fürdőben szemben helyezkedik el. Szép kiállítás található benne.

You must visit this castle from the 15th century.
It is located in the city of Gyula in the eastern Hungary, and it is very easy to find, a lot of road signs also.
Parking is on the street and costs around 300 HUF per 1h (0.8 EUR or 1 USD).
As for the ticket price is 1700 HUF per person (4.8 EUR or 5.5 USD), but you have family packet 2+2 and many more so be sure to check it out on their website.
As for the Castle the setup is very nice and the view from the top is amazing.
You have a lake also around the Castle where you can rent a boat for rowing or peddling. There is a toilet inside the castle.
Also many street vendors in front of the Castle with souvenirs.
We recommend it!
