Mr. Miller you are not telling the whole story unfortunately. It is fine to express your opinion and even give us a one star review if that is how you feel about your experience. What is not ok is to lie it really ruins integrity. This being said I am the guide that helped your wife. Let's start at the beginning. You and your wife came to ride on August 17. Your ride started at 12:30. The guests were you and your wife and another man and his two 8 year old children. There was Doug and I as the guides that day. You had told Doug and I that your wife had fallen off a horse before and you wanted to be sure that didn't happen again. I tightened your wife's saddle before she got on the horse . I checked her saddle again while she was on and adjusted her stirrups to the appropriate length. After that you watched me check the saddle again while you were sitting on your horse. Then before we left the stables Doug done one last check on everyone s saddle. I told your wife to be sure to stay in the center of the saddle and if she felt like the saddle was loose or if she felt uncomfortable to let us know. We started on the mountain. 1.5 miles on the trail I checked with everyone to make sure the stirrups and the saddles felt good. We made to the big hill we go up at the top I specifically asked your wife how her saddle felt she said it was fine . We had almost made it to the top of the mountain and your wife yelled out that she had fell off her horse. We immediately stopped. I took my horse to where she was and you followed. She was the third horse behind me and mind you we were at a dead walk . When I got there Mrs Miller was laying beside her horse and her horse was standing there and the saddle was actually still on the horses back. Doug got off his horse and I was off mine. I told Doug to tie her horse your horse and mine up and take the other 3 guest to the tie out post about 200 yards away and see if anyone was in the prinative camp that would be willing to transport your wife down. Mean while I had you Mr Miller get my first aid kit and my rain gear off my saddle along with water bottle s. To your surprise yes I Am Certified in Wilderness First Aid. I tried to stabilize your wife's shoulder the best I could with water bottles and a rain slicker and remember the icepack that you broke open to place on your wife's shoulder that was out of the first aid kit? After Doug made sure the other guest were off their horses and taking a break he came back and said he spoke with a lady but she said she was busy setting up camp. I had Doug take the saddle off one of the horses so we could use the pad to lay under your wife so she would be more comfortable. I told Doug to go tend to the man and his two children and I would stay with you all until we got help or until he could come back up with a car . I did offer you my phone so you could call for medvac but you refused. Remember how hot it was that day? We needed to make a shade for your wife you used your pocket knife to cut a little tree and we put that rain jacket on it to block the sun from her. Then some other horse back riders came by and gave us ice out of their saddle packs and gave us some wrap. Thankfully we were able to stabilize her some more, but she still was in pain. The horseback riders even took our horses to the bottom of the mountain for us . I told you to go see if you could get that lady to please take us down. She finally came and of course you were bad mouthing Doug to her and she said no it's my fault I miss understood him. Her name was Angela Incase you forgot and she drove a black SUV that was her husband and she was a local school teacher just to jog your memory. You and I picked your wife up so she was on her feet and we got her in and Angela tried to creep down the bumpy fire raid while I was trying to stabilize your wife's arm so it would bounce so much. While you were recording with your phone .90 min later we got to the stables and met Doug in his car which he had got the other guest back to the stables and was going to drive up the mtn to get us. Your wife and I thanked Angela and I got your wife in your truck. I was securing her arm for transport while you were in Doug's face yelling at him. Personally I would have thought you would have wanted to leave immediately to get your wife help. I must say your wife is a very strong lady and she was so grateful for the help she received. Doug has been in this business for over 50 years he knows how to put on a saddle as do I. There are inherent risks in anything you do . It is unfortunate that your wife fell off her horse, but I assure you it wasn't negligence on our part. So say what you will that's clearly your opinion, but don't lie about events and be ungrateful to the people that actually helped you. Doug couldn't just leave the other guests that's why we have multiple guides on the ride for safety reasons.
