Le musée abrite la collection personnelle d'Eusebio Sempere, sculpteur sur acier ou inoxydable qui vécut notamment à Paris au mitan du 20eme siècle. Comme il connaissait du beau monde (Tapies, Miro,Picasso etc..) l'exposition est magnifique ! La ville a construit ce bel immeuble aéré dont l'entrée est gratuite ! Au contraire de l'église en face dont l'accès vous lourdera se 6€ !

Musée gratuit avec des oeuvres d'artistes espagnols. Pas de photos autorisées. Une expo dédiée à Sempere est intéressante

This art museum is located in the oldest civil building that is preserved in Alicante. The Baroque-style building dates from 1685 and is located next to the Basilica of Santa Maria. However, there is a new modern building attached and the museum interior looks very modern.
There are two art museums in Alicante located quite near to each other: MACA and MUBAG. Both have a free entrance. Both museums are quite small and can be easily combined on the same day.
MACA has an important collection of 20th-century art. It has works by Picasso, Dali, and Miro among others.

Great museum and modern exhibition gallery ,exhibits laid out well and spread out over three floors ,staff are helpful but as has been alluded too a little bit eager to ensure you cannot take photo's of the exhibits which is slightly strange as it's the best form of free advertising for this museum imaginable ,this is the only negative of my trip here that's a definite must go if you're planning a trip to Alicante ,it's easy to locate on Plaza Santa Maria.

We went here when there was an exposition of Bruno Munari, a modern Spanish artist. It was very interesting and Munari's life was told via text on the wall. A point of improvement could be more English text, as mostly, there was only explanation in Spanish. The other floors with standard exposition were also very interesting. The stairs were made of marble with small lights in them, and the toilets were clean. Also very nice, the entrance is free! Well worth the time

Dit museum is gratis toegankelijk. Als je in Alicante bent en je van moderne kunst houdt, moet je dit museum bezoeken. Zelf houd ik meer van oude kunst, maar ik vond het toch leuk om even door het museum te lopen.

It was OK although I was a bit disappointed. Not a huge amount on display and whilst I like (some) contemporay art some of this was to "Tracy Eminish" for my liking. The two best items were by Joan Miro. Malaga has much more to offer really....

Dieses Museum ist eine Art-Galerie. Sehr viele Bilder und Gemälde verschiedener Künstler. Am Tag meines Besuchs wurde kein Eintrittsgeld erhoben.

Los museos me gustan mucho y esteme trae gratos recuerdos. La ultima vez que fui estaban haciendo pequeñas obras. El personal muy simpático.
