If you love to take the subway in Tokyo, this is the museum for you! It is only 220¥ and is packed with interesting exhibits. It is located in Kasai station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai line.
Not all exhibits have English translations, but the important ones do. You can also just use the Google Translate app camera feature to translate the others on the fly. You'll find a great history of the subway system in Tokyo and the various mergers and acquisitions that have resulted in today's Tokyo Metro.
The exhibits are interesting for kids and adults alike. You can walk through historic subway cars from the past century, see the tunnel digging machines, drive a train using a real simulator, and see a model of the system in action.
They offer free wifi and have an excellent gift shop. I picked up a couple Tozai Line items (ruler and charger dongle) there, as that is the subway I use most frequently when visiting Tokyo. I spent an enjoyable 2 hours here and loved the experience!

・We were able to enter the museum for 2 adults (220 yen).
・Actually, we paid 2 children (100 yen) for the admission fee for our two young children, but it wasn't necessary as they were aged 4 or older and up to junior high school students lol. There was no information about this on the ticket machine, so I don't think the conditions will change, but it might be a good idea to check the website beforehand.
・Higashi-kasai, Edogawa-ku, Tokyo. The Subway Museum is located right next to Kasai Station.

After returning home, they reminisced, "We went to the Subway Museum."
・And yet, it's free for small children and only 220 yen for adults, so you can leave after 30-60 minutes, and if you want to have fun, you can enjoy it for 1-2 hours. It's a great atmosphere.
・When they get a little older, they can enjoy experience-based attractions such as driving simulations, so it's nice to be able to visit it multiple times as they grow up.
・Whether you have children with you or not, if you go to nearby Kasai Rinkai Park, why not visit the Subway Museum as well? Thank you.

Few old motor cars presented, some of the explanatory panels are translated into English. Several very realistic driving simulators. Please note, the model of the network (miniature trains) only operates at fixed times: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Worthwhile to visit for all ages. Very well laid out and informative. Good balance of hands on activities that challenge everyone and allow you to appreciate the inner workings of metro network. Bonus is having museam directly under train station for easy access.

The museum is right next to the Kasai station on the Tozai metro line (about 20 mins ride from the Ōtemachi station, next to Tokyo station). Admission to the museum for an adult is a bargain 220¥. I wasn’t expecting much but ended up spending 90 minutes at the museum. Lots of interesting exhibits, some with English translations. It has been noted DBU other reviews that quite a few exhibits did not have English translation but I did not find this problematic as most of those exhibits were quite self explanatory. The cross section models and the old carriages are highlights but the best of all are the simulations that are available to young and old. Don’t be worried, give it a try and find out how challenging it can be to stop at the stations in the right place. Overall a very nice way to spend my last afternoon in Tokyo before flying back to the UK (don’t forget to pick up some goodies for the kids from the little shop near the exit).

こちらに上野～浅草間で開業した 日本発の地下鉄車両《ﾓﾊ1000形1001号車（国重要文化財）》に 自動改札機《再現品（近代化産業遺産）》や新橋～渋谷間を営業運転していた《100形129号車（近代化産業遺産）》》が展示されていることを知り 訪問しました。日本発の地下鉄車両の展示ｴﾘｱは 当時の上野駅も復元展示しており、【地下鉄博物館】と言うだけ 地下鉄にはなくてはならない技術[ﾄﾝﾈﾙ]に関する展示が 一般的な鉄道関連の博物館にはなく こちらだけの展示として印象に残りました。なお 模型電車（HO ｹﾞｰｼﾞ）が走行する《ﾒﾄﾛﾊﾟﾉﾗﾏ》のﾃﾞﾓは 1日4回（11:00～ 13:00～ 14:00～ 15:30～）となっており、運転ｼｭﾐﾚｰﾀｰは 16:40で終了しますので この点留意して 訪問されることお薦めします。

電車好きの息子と行ってきました。
葛西駅を出てすぐのロケーションが便利で、入場料も安くて助かります。
丸の内線や銀座線の車両の展示やジオラマコーナーがあり、子供は大喜びでした。
スタンプラリーもあり、子供と一緒に地下鉄の歴史や仕組みなどが勉強できました。
展示の充実度から、入場料はとてもお得だと思います。

入館料は220円。展示室入口に設けられた自動改札機に入館券を投入して中に入るようになっている。館内には地下鉄の歴史や建設技術の解説資料、銀座線・丸の内線の旧型車両、鉄道模型が走行するジオラマなどが展示されている。運転シミュレーターは子どもの遊び場のようになっており、大人一人では近寄ることさえも憚られた。
なお、当日の地下鉄1日乗車券と入館券を出口で提示すると地下鉄博物館のクリアファイルがもらえます。

丸ノ内線銀座線の車両が展示してあって良かったです。とてもレトロで、かっこいいと思いました。都営地下鉄の展示も欲しいです。シールド工法に関する展示も良かったです。また行きたいです。お土産は、副都心線のチョコクランチがいいと思います。

Thanks FOODANDTRAVELBUG! Anyone knows whether Kasai station has big coin lockers? We are planning to depart from Urayasu (after Disneyland) and stop by the museum before heading to Tokyo. If not, we will have change our travelling plan to go back to Tokyo and come back again....:(. Hmmm. Thanks.

I cannot remember if they had big coin lockers there or at station. I would advise to leave your luggage in a large coin locker at Tokyo station. They have lots and they are big
