Great overview and trip could have been amazing! However, for whatever reason the trip was cut short by 2-3 hours... returning to Tokyo before 5pm (instead of closer to 8pm).
What that means is that the few stops were RUSHED. 30 minutes more at each stop would have made A LOT of difference, particularly given how long we spent on the bus.
Hope the tour corrects that... as what could have been an awesome day was just ok, as we didn't get enough time to enjoy each of the great stop locations as per the description. Missed opportunity.

Our guide was Levin. Our trip was nearly perfect (rained while on ship, not a huge deal). Levin was awesome, he knew his landmarks and was super friendly and entertaining. I booked this tour not knowing if weather would be a factor and if we’d even enjoy it. We thoroughly enjoyed all the stops and highly recommend Levin. He met us at the meeting point and had everything nailed down precisely. Very interactive and helpful, even down to helping a family catch the billet train back.

Tour was good and guide was very knowledgeable. We did everything as the tour says except for the ropeway as it was windy that day. Instead, they brought us to a museum, which is not bad as well. We booked for the one with the bullet train going back to experience it, however it was not that good of an experience as it was not a reserved seat so we ended up just standing for half an hour during the bullet train ride. It was not a reserved seat as they said the time going back is not guaranteed. Tho, it did save us some time. Overall, it was still a good experience and would recommend doing a Mt Fuji tour activity.

It rained all day so we didn’t get to see the mountain . It was just a bad day for the tour . I would suggest that since they knew when it rains the possibility of seeing Mount Fuji is none, they should just cancel the trip no need to dive all that distance for nothing .

Nice bus, friendly knowledgeable guide, organised well and had to adapt as issues on the day.
a lengthy traffic jam turned a 50 min journey into 2 hrs just to the rest stop. Every bus stops at the rest stop so 15mins queue for the bathrooms.
We couldn’t go up mt Fuji as the road was closed apparently after rains and winds brought down tree/trees the day before.
So straight to lunch which felt like a school canteen, very cheap and not great food with no view.
We couldn’t go to Hakone as that road was closed.
We did see Fuji, get a 20 min lake cruise and a cable car ride.
Problems on the bullet train meant the bus passengers voted to return to Tokyo by the bus instead of the train. So no bullet train ride.
All in all a long day, not much time at each location before being hurried back onto bus, overpriced in our opinion and we didn’t get what we paid for.

Whilst I admit the weather was bad in the morning which did cause delays you spend most of the trip on a bus. No time to explore. It is all rushed and the guide ‘Hiro’ made his feelings known when after two hours in a traffic jam we stopped for a break at a rest stop and a few people dared take a little longer than the 15 minutes allocated. The lunch location was terrible. Of all the places to go it was obviously a kick back location. The afternoon was a little better as the weather turned nice but it still only involved a 20 minute boat ride on the lake and a cable car ride that was mostly queuing. The minute you sat down after seeing the sight and having taken a few photos to relax and soak it in you were being moved on again back on to the bus. I would never do this trip again. Not enough time at sites. Far too long on the bus. Finishing up now feeling very deflated. And for $235 per person it’s frankly a long bus ride rip off

Very well organized. Left from the Keio Plaza Hotel on time. Our guide went by the name Joe. Explained the trip itinerary clearly and kept us up to date. He was very informative as well as entertaining.

Good experience to visit the mountains and get a glimpse of the summit. If the weather is hazy, the view gets blocked. The gondola ride and view from the mountain are mesmerising. The final leg of the boat tour is decent.

Leider war der Ausflug aufgrund des Wetters eine absolute Kathastrophe.
Das Schwanenboot anstatt des großen Bootes lass ich mir ja noch gefallen. Anstatt einer Seilbahnfahrt allersings in ein lächerliches Museum zu fahren ist ein schlechter Scherz! Die Ausstellung hat man nach 10 Min komplett gesehen, sollte schlechtes Wetter sein am Besten lieber das Geld verfallen lassen anstatt solch eine Lebenszeitverschwendung auch noch zu bezahlen.
Der Veranstalter ist hier leider wenig einsichtig. Ja es Stand unter Weitere Informationen, gehört meiner Meinung nach aber Plakativ in die Routenbeschreibung.

May I know is this tour is conducive for an 80 plus elderly? Her physique is healthy and mobile. Perhaps will be a tad slow in walking and climbing.

Pardon Moi, parle Fracais un po. In english they were attentive to the group, well organized, our guide spoke English well, but I am sure they have French speaking guides as well. So to answer your question: YES I would recommend them. Please contact them for what portions of Japan they cover. Bon Voyage!

Hi. Four travelers are arriving on Viking cruise at Osaka on September 10, 2019 at 8am and would like to travel to Kyoto on a guided trip.We must be back at Osaka dock for 5pm departure. We are interested in seeing Fushimi Inari Shrine, bamboo forest, the Golden Pavilion and some time to eat lunch. We are afraid that there is no pick-up and drop-off service at Osaka dog. Also 1 day tour will be finish around 7pm at Osaka sta.
We recommend you to participate Kyoto Morining tour. Although it is not include lunch. The tour visit Nijo-jo Castle , Golden pavillion and Kyoto Imperial Palace. It is also possible to go to Fushimi-inari on your own on that afternoon.

Hi! I'm leaving for the 9 day Hiroshima combination tour in just over a week, and had a few questions, if you you're able to answer.
1) How did you identify JTB staff when arriving via train? Are they in uniform?
2) How did you identify the times to meet your guide? Our itinerary has not covered this information. We've been told we'll receive a detailed itinerary when we arrive, which has me worried.
3) Were you provided with a JR pass? We've been told 'all travel is covered', but not how.
4) How did you get from Kyoto to Hiroshima/Miyajima? This information has been omitted from our current itinerary.

1) The staff wears clothes with logo, and the busses they use are clearly marked JTB
2) They are several meeting points, in general in or around train stations. Depending on your hotel location, you specify when you book the tour which meeting point you prefer and find out with the hotel staff how long it will take from your hotel to reach the meeting point.
3) If train is involved on a segment of the tour, the guide at the meeting point will handle the train ticket. However, it is recommended to purchase your own JR pass (possible 7 days, 14 days or longer) - it gives you more flexibility and outreach during your stay.
4) We had our JR pass, so at arrival when we change the JR voucher received by courier before traveling to the actual JR passes, we reserved all our trains AND SEATS. Specifically from Kyoto to Hiroshima / Miyajima we booked for Shinkansen(bullet train). Otherwise evening before departure go to JR office in the train station and book your ticket - at the departure, with the tickets automat it is quite difficult to find out, you have to have cash and if you try to use credit card, very often the cards are denied.
