On pensait passer un séjour calme dans ce petit village après quelques jours passés sur Valence. Et il se trouve que le village et ses petites ruelles à flanc de montagne vaillent largement le détour. De bonnes chaussures et nous voilà à l assaut des ruelles menant au château qui surplombe le village. Le lendemain nous voilà suivant le circuit bleu qui descend du village vers le Rio. 2 km de pur plaisir dans une nature magnifique. dommage que certains ne sachent pas reprendre ce qu'ils amenent et laissent sur place certains objets. Canettes et papiers en l'occurrence. Sinon au bout de ce circuit une retenue d eau ou les locaux vont prendre le frais. Une Via Ferata permet d'en surplomber un bout. Dommage qu elle ne soit pas entretenue. Bref un séjour qui semble bien parti.

Stunning views and a leisurely ride along the river. The stars of the day had to be those two wonderful shires- and of course the driver.
Could not want for a more relaxing experience and a good relaxing lunch.
The castle looked interesting and could be worth a visit.

This is an amazing way to see the beautiful and dramatic landscapes of Chulilla. The horses are beautiful and the journey is amazing.

Elizabeth and Jaime offer various itineraries around Chulilla, and it feels like a delightful step back in time to be taken gently through the village and surrounding countryside by their horses Harry and Hobby.
Both hosts are extremely knowledgeable about the history and the landscape of this beautiful part of Valencia province, and I'd love to repeat the experience when the water is lower in the valley and we can do the excursion through the riverbed.
Book this trip - you won't be disappointed.

This is a fantastic activity. The dray takes up to 10 people and two people up front with the driver. We started our journey at the farm. We went through the village to a viewing point where we had a short walk and took photographs of the excellent views. We then returned to the dray and went back through the village to the spa on the other side of the village where more photos where taken. We then returned to the farm. This whole journey took three hours and everyone who went had an excellent morning. The weather was super, the hosts were fantastic. This trip is highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

In the village of Chulilla, about 60 km west of Valencia, the river Turia has carved a magnificent canyon. An excellent way to see the canyon is in a horse-drawn carriage. Shire horses are large, gentle horses, very similar to the Clydesdales of Budweiser Beer Wagon fame. There is a castle overlooking the canyon and the white houses of the village. The canyons in Chulilla offer some of the best rock climbing experiences in Europe. We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion, and recommend it highly.
