Taxi is the quickest and easiest way, normally Except for one day a week buses dont stop at the museum except on Flying days. It may be easier and will be cheaper to travel to Whittlesford Parkway station rather than Cambridge and organise a taxi from there or possibly walk. That depends on what if anything else you plan to do in Cambridge/bags etc. If this is a flying day you are going for then there are shuttle buses from Cambridge station, plus the park and rides - all listed on the event day webpage

Hi Kelly I would concur with Andy P's response and would add. Car park is not large so try to get there early. Also there are lots of tables, benches and grass there so a picnic will work well. The museum in a number of buildings so quite spread out you definitely don't want to be carrying around more than the essentials. Regards Ian

There's a free bus which runs around the airfield lots of places to put chairs not too many places to buy food so a packed lunch could be a good idea

Yes it’s the RAF Lancaster the only flying one left in Uk going for a service flown down from Lincolnshire air base where it lives
