Amazing find, a treasure chest of local artist works. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the husband and wife owners and artist. They gave us an inspiring and insightful tour.

What a spectacular art gallery, the owners were most welcoming and taught us a lot of about the artwork. I thoroughly recommend coming here, we will be back.

This was a great art gallery very local to me that I wish I had visited sooner. It is a beautiful pace with an abundance of beautiful art and extremely lovely owners. I had the pleasure of having a really lovely chat with both owners and got to know a lot about their processes and how the art is created. I truly can’t wait to go back to this fantastic gallery very soon.

We popped in one weekend - thank goodness we did! A beautiful hidden treasure trove of art works from many different artists. The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent, old fashioned customer service. Option for the artwork to be brought to the house for no additional cost. Highly recommend a visit.

I’ve lived in a nearby village for a couple of years but didn’t know this gallery was here. Popped in today whilst I was waiting for the tea shop next door to finishing prepping my takeaway order (also well worth a visit!). What a treasure trove! As other reviewers have said, there is a real range of styles on display and a lot to look at. I had a great chat with the owner and artist Marilyn- a kindred spirit passionate about the value of the creative arts and theatre for our well-being and for the educational development of children and young people.

We first came across the studio in the summer and revisited to purchase some artwork
Marilyn and Naz were so accommodating, very helpful, Nothing was to much trouble.
we really enjoyed the experience and the personal touch.
we will be recommending the Studio to our friends and will be revisiting soon.

The Mardleybury Gallery is somewhat off the beaten track although it is signposted on the road from the Welwyn/ Welwyn garden City roundabout. It lies on the outskirts of the village of Datchworth, sat in the corner of a group of buildings with. Furniture warehouse behind and a tearoom next door. Wasn’t quite sure what I was expecting when I went in but the room is festooned with Canvases to suite many different tastes.almost all the artists are local and the gallery’s co - owner produces her own work which is well worth a look. There’s a variety of other types of Art, and all of it is vibrant, fresh and attractive.
However arguably the greatest asset was the proprietors themselves - Marilyn and Naz are extremely welcoming and willing to talk through their offerings and give background. They provided me with great hospitality on both my visits, offering refresh,ent and letting me sit down and talk through what I was looking for. Arguably even better was their offer to come over to the house and assist in choosing the ideal location for the paintings. One which I gladly accepted. They also recommend an excellent framer who latterly produced a superb level of detail, making the pictures easy to hang.
I love supporting businesses like this that showcase the local element and who consistently go above and beyond. This would definitely be worth a trip if you are in the vicinity. Thoroughly recommended
