We visited this winery because what we had seen on the web piqued our interest . We arrived after having scheduled ( a must) a tasting with owner Palma. This very modern building sits out in the middle relatively flat vineyards and fields. Palma explained to us that she and her husband designed this very modern building to house their winery because modern art and architecture are their passion. All the circular "holes " (windows) around the building represent grapes at various stages of development. Inside, especially on the second floor they display modern art featuring some local contemporary artists; the art displays rotate a couple of times a year. After Palma gave us a tour of the building we sat down for the tasting of a variety of their whites and reds. We tasted 6 or 7 varieties, and with each change in bottles she served us a selection of meats, cheeses, etc., to accompany the wine. It was a very generous selection for the reasonable price of 25 Euros per person. We were then given the opportunity to order wine for shipment to the US, something that we love to do. When we drink the wine at home it is not only to enjoy the excellent wine, but to bring back memories of our visit to Podere La Chiesa. This very unique building wouldn't be my choice to build, but it was sure interesting to visit, and some of the wines were really good!

Nel nostro giro nella Provincia di Pisa abbiamo visitato e degustato i vini di questa Cantina, dove è evidente il binomio vino e arte. Anche la Cantina è una vera e propria opera d'arte con i muri perimetrali che ricordano i grappoli di Sangiovese. Ottimi i vini assaggiati e senza eguali la simpatia di Palma e Maurizio, che, dopo pochi minuti di conversazione, sembravano amici di vecchia data. Consiglio una visita.

This past September was our fourth wine and food pairing experience with Palma and Maurizio at Podere la Chiesa. Each year, we learn more and are always delighted to taste the incredible wines they have worked so hard to produce in sometimes challenging conditions. Whenever we bring friends with us, they are always just as impressed as we are with the wines and the food we are served.
The warm welcome shown at Podere la Chiesa is just one of the reasons we keep returning. The wine, the food, the view - you cannot go wrong!

Cantina molto bella e moderna, passione per i vini e il vitigno toscano! I padroni di casa 2 persone bravissime e con la passione che li contraddistingue, come i loro vini! Rossi ottimi ma il loro Vermentino in purezza... il migliore mai assaggiato! Complimenti davvero! Ci rivedremo presto!!

I have visited many wineries to do wine tasting, however after visiting Podere La Chiesa i will try no more. This is the best place i have experienced, the attention to detail, the food to accompany each glass of wine, the information, the quality of wine, do i go on.....

Dear Femke, I'm so sorry for the late answer but I've seen your message right now. We are open everyday in summertime, from 10.30 am to 7 pm and of course children are well accepted. Hope to see you soon.
