Le domaine est beau, le vin est bon et il est bio. Voilà en résumé les atouts de cette exploitation familiale, nichée au creux d'un vallon pagnolesque. Je vous conseille le blanc "les roches bleues", le vin rouge est très équilibré et très rond en bouche (avis perso), même le bib est très agréable.

This vineyard is linked to Roman times by its name Escattes meaning spurting out for there are underground springs in this region. They make AOC Languedoc Sommieres wines (new AOC designation). Certified as Organic wine. The vineyard was recommended to us by French friends but, while the wine is certainly of a pretty high quality, we found it not be exceptional. Bottles in the $8 - $14 range of those wines offered for tasting. Perhaps there are more distinguished wines in the cellars of the owners?. The young lady describing the wines was not very outgoing.
