Geall Gallery B&B was superb accommodation, the room was comfortable, the bathroom clean and smart, the breakfast was very tasty. Chris and Jayne were very welcoming hosts.

My third time on the Wainwright Coast to Coast walk.
Sitting here waiting for my train I'm contemplating the trips.
Geall Gallery b and b is outstanding. I cannot think of a better place to stay.
Beautiful rooms generously sized. A large sitting room and kitchen plus a balcony overlooking the river.
The staff were truly wonderful 10/10
Highly recommended by me

Photos just can't do it justice. Beautiful gallery. Chris is very friendly and open and it's amazing to see him working.
I went in because I was just browsing, but his work just spoke a new language to me. I could stand and look at it for hours. So much so that I had to get my husband in to look and he could see the impact of it on me and how beautiful the artworks are.
Basically I bought a painting. It was that powerful. Beautiful sunset scene, the sky is incredible. Stand back and it looks like a photo. Up close you see every stroke at work.

Stayed at the B&B here on the final night of our coast to coast walk - perfect location on the high street. The room was large, and included a couple of arm chairs in addition to the beds. The open plan kitchen is in the breakfast room so you can chat to the owner while she cooks your breakfast. There’s also a balcony for guest use.

We popped into the Gallery and loved looking at the artwork for sale. Chris was in the middle of an impressive landscape painting of the local area. There's an example of his ceramic art in the Whitby Museum.

This was a great overnight stay on the C2C with a wonderful breakfast/sitting room and sun deck; you could comfortably stay here for several nights...to explore the area. We all had lovely rooms, decorated in a comfortable, non trad B&B contemporary style by Jayne and Chris. The gallery is below and also great to visit; Chris and Jayne's work is wonderful. Altogether, a wonderful stay!

Staying here was a highlight of the Coast To Coast walk. A wonderful welcoming B&B with first class facilities, superb showers and a drying room for wet boots (most welcome!!). As for food, the sourdough pizza that I had in the café below the B&B was a gastronomic treat. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat !

This was a visit back to North Yorkshire after an absense of about 10 years. My friend and I, along with two teenagers, popped into this Gallery for a browse and we were all swept away by Chris's work. I was literally driven to tears by his ability to capture the moors. Needless to say we bought a couple of small pieces and some pottery and lust after his large paintings. Just fabulous, so full of vibrant energy. This place is a must, you can watch Chris at work, he was a lovely guy to chat to. Plus, there's a great café!

We stayed here whilst walking the Coast to Coast. Our accommodation was lovely. We had fantastic pizza for dinner & I had my first taste of Whitby gin ! The cafe was great & we were able to watch the artists at work whilst we ate. Breakfast was delicious & we ate in a gorgeous breakfast area upstairs. A nice stay overnight. Would love to come back.

We popped in for coffee after a walk. Dog friendly and people friendly. A warm welcome and excellent coffee. Enjoyed the art as well.
