This is the place where you find Batik work products .. like clothes and accessories .. bought a couple of clothes but later found out they are more cheaper outside .. It is definitely interesting ..

Vêtements vendus à la boutique de mauvaise qualité (viscose). Démonstration très light. Attrape touriste. Ne vaut pas le détour. Rien à voir avec l'artisanat thaï de bien meilleure qualité.

We visited yesterday. A Malay lady explained the Batik process to us from beginning to end. She was very amusing and had a dry sense of humour. We both liked some of the batiks on display inside; some were very strong artistically; I particularly liked a large Batik of three hornbills. We bought one that we both liked which had a dark red background and featured a twisting plant and butterflies.
They sell many different kinds of useable Batik products: dresses etc. Also pottery
It was unfortunately that one is not allowed to take photos or make videos of any aspect of the process or the batiks.

An, art lover can fall in love with this place, as one is privy to the entire process of creating batik on textiles. The artists are at work in the adjoining factory creating master pieces, where every creation is unique and different from the other.Batik sarong and maxi dresses are popular with the tourists.

이 곳은 숙소에서 번화가 쪽으로 오며가는 길목에 있어서 우연히 발견한 곳입니다. 제 아내는 살룽을 사고 싶어해서 여기저기 쇼핑몰을 봤지만 가격과 디자인을 둘 다 만족시키는 건 찾지 못했습니다. 그런데 이곳의 바깥에 걸려있던 살룽들은 예쁘고 독특한 디자인들이 많이 있더군요, 그래서 들어가 본 결과 가격도 다른 곳보다 저렴했습니다. 처음에는 정가에서 깍아줄 수 없다고 했지만 여러 개를 사니 결국 얼마 깍아주기도 했습니다. 살룽이나 바틱에 관심이 있으신 분들은 꼭 들러보실 만한 곳이라 생각합니다. 살룽에 대한 주의사항을 말씀드리자면 초기에는 염색한 색이 잘 빠지기 때문에 반드시 단독으로 빨아주셔야 합니다.

They sell clothes and paintings with a large variety. Just ask to see the paintings, they are inside the building. The owner is the artist.

This is a shop with very nice batik. The museum is just an excuse to get people into the shop. Anyhow the shop is very nice so I recommend a visit. For me I think the clothing in the shop are nor very traditional nor up to fashion 2016 so I just bought some very nice cotton batik. Back at home in Sweden I made two very appreciated morning kimonos for my teenage daughters. If you want to buy less expensive machine made batik there are lot of shops in Cenang Beach.
