Took my 7yr and 10 yr old daughters along with their grandparents. We really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly. The kids were given a different quiz each which were really good and kept them interested. The information boards were very clear and easy to read, not too much information to overwhelm. We were there just over an hour and may have spent longer if it wasn't for the heavy rain.

Well kept lawn, historical remains with some info on original building use. Lovely views over Denbigh. Not much to do there, reason for 3 star rating.

Once quite an impressive castle and town walls but sadly after hundreds of years it's now a ruin.

Never been here before and was really surprised at the size of the Castle once you get inside.
Quite a lot to explore and the views from the highest point on a clear day are just breathtaking. We got the guidebook which is really informative and a great price.
There are several information points dotted around which tell you more about the places you are standing in.
They had lawn games out for people to play and we stopped for a picnic for lunch.
Just a note the Ice Cream from the visitor centre is absolutely delicious!
Well worth a visit.

It does not look at all impressive as you approach, it them becomes quite surprising with the size that lays beyond the entrance, a quite substantial very nice castle. Not intact or renovated but mostly original with plenty of information boards about the castle history and functions of various buildings supplemented by a very good free leaflet. Great views from the walls walkway. The parking is immediately outside on the green embankment not on the street.

Great tour of the castle, slight drizzle but not a problem- need to be careful as stone steps get a bit slippy. Staff helpful and friendly, toilets are pristine. Free car parking but some access roads are narrow [take care].
Deepest well we have seen in the UK, pity about the trolley & rubbish dumped into it [ should be cleared.
Information boards are good but could be made more of-
all in a most interesting visit- big plus was the discount for our English Heritage memberships.

Under the umbrella of CADW, but English Heritage members also can enter for free.
Plenty of parking at the castle and fabulous views, also close to the town walls.
Friendly welcome, small but interesting castle to explore, great views and well worth the stop.

A large and impressive castle with superb views. The staff were also very friendly. It'd be great to have a little more information on site though, especially accessible for disabled visitors. It has the potential to be a significant tourist destination.
