It's a lovely, beautiful place. We first went to the famed Vagamon, which we hated...and this was a trip then to make up for that disappointment :D A beautifully green cousin of the utterly boring and skin-burning hot Vagamon Motta Kunnu! It’s just over 20kms from Thekkedy, so if you’re planning a Thekkedy trip, rope in a few hours at Parunthumpara too—preferably toward sunset if you want breath-taking views, pics and a place to peacefully sit by yourself.

Mini Vagamon. You will see many mountain tops. Nothing much other than that. The road to this place. There is a walkway so it won't be difficult for old people. In case if you want to go down to the edge of the peak it's a rough path. We went during the beginning of summer. The shrubs are dried but the wind was cold.

This is a very beautiful resort, impeccably maintained with stunning views.
The staff here is very very friendly and helpful.
Also, the food is superb and we loved every thing that we tried at their restaurant.
My family had an amazing time here and we would love to go back again.

This place would have been a lot better if people didn't litter around and if the temporary stalls of street vendorsare removed. I did not have a pleasant experience visiting the place. Hope some action will be taken to retain the Beauty of this place

Parunthampara Viewpoint is a captivating tourist attraction situated 1200 m above the sea level, The view from the cliff is superb. Few eatery shops around. Protection fencing and tiled pathway is there, so ensure that you walk up the stairs as well as climb down to get a breathtaking view of the hills. Best to go there in the evenings as the climate is good. Worth spending about an hour there. The place is accessible by road and does not involve too much climbing / walking.

The view from the last cliff is amazing and the path leading to the same is very narrow.. heavy breeze and fog could be felt during late evenings and try avoiding afternoon or early evening as it will be warm. Ample eatery shops around..

Its a famous tourist place in idukki district between Peermade and Pambanaar in K K road. you need to go 3 km from NH through tea estate . very good aces road, Peermade panchayat made protection fencing and tiled pathway through danger areas. Go as group in ofttimes.

This was my best kite flying experience of my life. Almost touched the clouds.
Also great view of the valley from the top.
Here is proof that don't trust the Google map alone. One needs to get down and ask.
The drive from Thekkady is about an hour and roads are good & new. We found this while returning.
While going we trusted GMAPS and ended up detouring via estate roads which need special SUV and special driving skills. Somehow we reached the hill view point after 45 extra minutes.
Don't forget to buy the kite. He will teach you how to fly.
Also don't forget to take a jeep ride.
Best spot. No hotels nearby for food. Carry your own.
