As regular escape roomers we were chuffed to find out that one of our favourite games centres had a new venue with new rooms to challenge us (Adrenaline you should really d a new letter telling us this stuff).
We booked Espionage and Masterpiece as a mother's day treat. The Building itself is an old mill, so the entrance stairs don't really set an upmarket tone for the place, once in the escape room reception it does feel slightly more homely, with settes and a bar. The two games we played were both great, we may have set a new record time for Espionage -or Ella tells everyone that to make them feel good, as there was no "high score board" to speak of. Masterpiece felt much harder and finishing with only 13 minutes left on the clock that was quite tight compared with 25 remaining on the previous game. Despite the derelect feel of some of the old mill the game sets and props were all first rate, Ella and her team put on a first rate experience, and we will be back again to play the other two games we haven't yet played.

I was lucky enough to come here with work and try 2 different escape rooms in consecutive days. What can I say, I’d never been to one before and was dubious but this experience was honestly amazing. The rooms we chose were cleverly executed.
Jarret was our host on both days and what a fantastic guy, informative, knowledgeable and very professional. He looked after us and made us feel very welcome, that much so we were there for 3 hours.
Already booked again to go with my own family.

We've done 2 x rooms here at Atherton Escape rooms now. The venue itself is great, with a bar and snooker tables etc, nice for a little social outing. The rooms themselves are pretty good, but they don't really compare to the likes of Lucardo with regards to the build quality. I also always find it strange there's no music playing in the rooms, so it's just the noise of your group, and then hearing people chatting etc on the outside which ruins the vibe a little. Overall though we had a great time

Another brilliant adventure to Atherton escape rooms. Absolute genius in the planning of these rooms. This time we did "prison break" it was so well thought out. We were on a mission and escaped with literally seconds to spare.
Brilliant day / night with cheap drinks, fab friendly staff and a really different activity.
Highly recommended !!

Visited here recently as we have completed all other escape rooms in the area and was really disappointed. We played the Log Cabin game, all other escape rooms we've done we were told a back story before being let into the room to get you in the mood and set the scene, this one we wasn't and it really took away from the experience from the start. The first room was nicely decorated but the second room was pretty poor and felt very cheap with £1 shop Halloween decorations. The walls are so thin that we could hear the TV in the reception area blaring music as well as the builders having a chat next door, which completely killed any atmosphere we tried to create between ourselves. There aren't any puzzles/riddles in this game, everything's just about finding things so there isn't much of a mental challenge. Another thing what I felt poor in relation to other escape rooms was the communication between yourselves and the game hosts, there's no microphones in the room, so if you would like a clue you have to stop & wave a sign in front of the camera. Not a huge deal but again it takes away from the atmosphere a little to have to stop & hold a sign up, if the game hosts could hear they would be able to take initiative and offer clues alongside the running of the game. All in all I feel like this would maybe be a good place for people to start who want to give escape rooms a go but if you're a seasoned escapee I would give the place a miss.

I’ve now tried to go twice! Is the challenge of this escape room getting in? Last time I couldn’t book for love nor money and this time I booked and will still faced with a locked door and no way in! Without a doubt the most challenging escape room - I’ve had two attempts now and not even made it though the front door!
Avoid! Absolute joke of customer service, if their rooms are as disappointing not worth the bother.

We had a family visit to this attraction and thoroughly enjoyed it.The staff were friendly and helpful and if required you can have a drink before/after your room challenge.Well worth a visit and there are four rooms to choose from.

Recently visited here with my hubby for a date night. On arrival the host was wonderful and so friendly and made us feel right at ease. Lovely extra bonus they had a bar and drinks where really reasonably priced. Overall a really fun night and will be returning with my friends for lots more drinks Nd fun!

Recommended! the staff are so friendly and helpful and explain everything. We have only 2 more of their rooms to do now we enjoyit so much. Defo an activity for all the family. Theres plenty seats sofas and there's a bar!
