Ce caviste connais bien son métier et propose toujours de bon conseil sur ces vins. Il propose des vins et autres produits pour tous les goûts et tous budget. Je le recommande fortement.

Deja trois ans que nous avons découvert ce caviste de Clamecy et nous y retournons aussi souvent que nous le pouvons.
Chaque année, des découvertes... locales (vins de bourgogne mais aussi whisky... si, si !!!) et plus exotiques (une jolie présentation de rhum, par exemple).
Nous adorons également discuter avec le gérant de la cave qui est, comme le dit les autres avis, très sympathiques et de très bons conseils.
Bref, on n'hésite pas à faire 40 km de plus pour faire le stock de vins ou de crémant de Bourgogne.

We took a canal boat into town and split up with friends to run errands. My wife and I went here to get some wine and the others went to a market. After a couple of minutes the owner started speaking English to us and we got more confortable as we aren't good with French. We talked awhile with the owner who was really knowledgable and offered us a couple of samples of wines that he had in the back. We left with a couple of bottles of wine and even came back the next day with our friends to buy a couple more. He even said he went home and told his wife about the two nice Americans he met and she made him come back to the shop the next day cause we told him we would be back. So glad we did. That shop was one of the best experiences and most friendly person we met on our trip.

Un caviste à l'écoute et un choix multiple qui va du vin simple mais bon au millésime renommé. Bon choix de whisky ou de rhum. Je recommande vivement.

Les caves de Clamecy is well worth a visit when in Clamecy if you enjoy good wines, beer and spirits.
The fellow serving who I believe is the owner was very helpful had a good knowledge of the wines and spoke excellent English.
There was whiskey and wine to taste, fill your bottles and take away.
A fun experience.

Dear Luc,
We will be arriving in Clemecy on Friday July 22 and leaving for Tannay on Saturday July 23 to secure a boat. What would be the best time to visit Les Caves to select some wines for our voyage up the canal? We will also be passing Clemecy on Sunday on our way down the canal. We would like to meet you and stock up on some of your wines.

Dear Mike,
Many thanks for your request and your interest for my “little wine shop”. My opening hours are 9:00 – 12:00 and 2:30 – 7:00 pm. But I’m flexible... The best moment to taste and discover some local jewels is at the end of the morning or the end of the afternoon. But it’s up to you, I’m open.
I can furthermore schedule a private testing session and deliver all the ordered goods directly to the harbour. And the best for the end: during the summer period, I’m also open on Sunday morning!
