Very beautiful place to have a walk, there is a museum, staff very friendly, infrastructure very well organized.

A nice spot with a museum, birds ringing station and a lighthouse. The highlight of our visit was the bird ringing station. The guide Vytautas was incredible. He adores his job, told so many nice stories and demonstrated birds ringing process. Amazing! He spoke Lithuanian, but he manages English as well (at least he said that).

The history behind this location is incredible. Not the easiest way to get there I admit.

Место атмосферное, стоит съездить - не только на мыс Венте, но и на остров Русне, и в Минию, откуда отходят паромы на Косу - дважды в день, но без автомобилей, маленькие лодки.
Есть ньюанс. Везде продают сувениры. Мы купили браслетик, который оказался опасным. При падении бусины разбиваются на мелкие, как сахарные кристаллы, острые осколки.
Будете там - скажите продавцу, наверное она не в курсе, что за сюрпризы детям таят её сувениры.

We went there in 2009, and it was a typical Soviet mess!
This October, it has been totally renovated, there is a museum, very new, and all the pathways renovated.
It is a pleasure to see it all.
Of course, the outstanding attraction is the bird ringing facility, the biggest in Europe

The place were the birds, traveling from North to South stops for a short brake. Impressive view but do not expect it to be Cabo da Roca.. it is just the end of Nemunas Valley

Die Fahrt nach Vente hat sich sehr gelohnt. Man kann bis zu einem Parkplatz fahren, bezahlt im Kiosk 0,90 Euro und läuft das letzte Stück zu Fuß. Der Blick über das Haff bis zur Kurischen Nehrung ist schön. Die Gegend ist auch wegen der vielen Störche und Wasservögel interessant. Es gibt auch mehrere Möglichkeiten zur Memel zu gelangen. Und das Beste, die Ecke ist touristisch nicht erschlossen.
