Great Experience

Excellent tour of the olive mill. We certainly learned a couple of things about Crete, the olive oil trade and, of course, how it's made. The gentleman giving us the tour (Spiros?) was excellent and really brought the experience to live.

The tasting afterwards was really good too.

Eye-opening tour

Well worth doing the hour tour if you’re in the area. We turned up without tickets and got into a tour easily at 2.30 at the end of September. We learnt a lot about how olive oil is produced and the factory is worth seeing in itself. Fascinating facts from Stavros about the olive oil industry in Crete and can now distinguish between a good quality and low quality olive oil! We’ll be back to stock up on more oil on another trip I’m sure!

Sehr informative Führung und alle Mitarbeitenden sind ausgesprochen freundlich. In unserer Gruppe waren etwa 10 Teilnehmende. Beim Tasting wird jedem selbst überlassen, wie viele Öle man probieren möchte. Danach steht noch eine reichliche Auswahl an Oliven und Brot bereit. Würde ich immer weiterempfehlen - top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Und wir haben danach noch selbst leckere Öle & Balsamico gekauft.

Great experience

We visited Terra Creta looking for a good quality olive oil to buy during our vacation in Creta. We received not only great products, but also nice experience. The tour around the production line and hole facility lasts about 1h, ending with tasting of different kind of oils. Very interesting and pleasing experience, we learned a few things, our Guide was really kind.
Place worth visiting!
Also, the olive oil and olives are delicious!

Nous connaissons Terra Creta depuis 5 ans suite à une visite de l’usine. Nous achetons leur l’huile d’olive sur place à Kolymbari et en ramenons en France pour la famille et les amis ( d’abord 10 litres et au fil des années on en a acheté de plus en plus ( entre 30,40 et 50 l )
Nous avions toujours un petit geste commercial. Cette année aucun , nous en avons acheté pour 514€ ( 60l ).
Suite à notre remarque d’absence cette année d’un petit geste on nous a accordé royalement un petit bocal d’olives à moins de 3 € soit
0,005% .Sans commentaire !
Nous sommes très déçus, cela ne remet pas en cause la qualité de l’huile ni la visite très intéressante de l’usine faite il y a 5 ans bien sûr.
On ne demandait pas non plus un geste commercial astronomique mais quand même..c’est un peu se moquer du client,et on trouve que ce n’est pas correct .
Terra Creta n’étant pas le seul fabricant d’huile d’olive de qualité en Crète et à fortiori dans l’Ouest de la Crète il est peu probable que nous y revenions

Tour very well worth the price

Two adults and two children (9y,7y) joined the 9:15 start time.
There were no other guests.
Adults 10€ per person, children free.
Explanation in English.
Learn about olive oil from harvest to production in about 1 hour.
At the end of the tour, you can taste a variety of olive oils and fruits.
You can also buy the real oil and fruit at a reasonable price.
The tour includes not only bottles but also cans and a wide variety of sizes, making them suitable as souvenirs.
The video will give you a better understanding of the process.
The tour guide is very friendly and helpful.
It was a very good memory for me and my family.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who is planning to visit Chania.

We had a fantastic tour at Terra Creta. Stavros has a real passion for olive oil, and we learned a lot about the "tree to oil" process. The post-tour sampling was really nice.

All in all a very great introduction to the rich olive culture of Crete. Very pleasant informal tour by Stavroz with plenty of opportunity to ask questions

Great tour and olive oil tasting

Loved the tour! We learned a lot about the process of growing and harvesting and the extraction process. The extra virgin oils we got to sample at the end were truly delicious. Don’t skip it if you’re a fan of EVOO!

The tour was segmented into to fairly equal chunks, with small interludes whilst you walked to the next station. This allows you to absorb the clearly presented information. Very informative, and you will perfectly understand the company's aims and ethos by the end. The partnership between the company and the growers espouses great shared values. You truly appreciate the quality of the products by the time you have tasted a number of oils at the end. The endeavour to increase sustainability is also admirable. The guide is so informative, clear and professional. You will leave feeling you have shared in a very impressive operation.
