Such a relaxing place to sit back and enjoy a lovely chilled beer, some great real beers to try with friendly service, for a cider drinker I enjoyed a lively light Pale Ale for a change..

Visit The Beer School frequently, it’s our favourite local pub. We recently used them for a private hire for our daughters christening after party. Rachel was fantastic throughout the booking process and on the day itself, super helpful and accommodating for our needs. We had such a fantastic day and could not recommend The Beer School and all the staff enough. See you all again soon!

We don’t go out in Westhoughton very often but, when we do, we try and get here. It is a terrific place with something different to offer.
As the name suggests it specialises in quality beers. They have a great range and are more than happy to let you try them so you can get something you particularly like.
The bar itself is done really nicely and because of the type of place it is it attracts a mature crowd and creates an excellent atmosphere.
The service is friendly, professional and they really do care you have a good time there.

Excellent staff, very welcoming. I was cold and one of the staff brought me a blanket. India was super warm and attentive. Thank you all for making our first get together so wonderful. Allowed us to order our own food from outside which we brought in. Will definitely be back .

What a beltin Iil place the Beer school is.
Lots of choice and a very friendly staff who know there onions. I’d be in every day if my wife and liver would let me.
Also It felt very safe and clean with the recent restrictions.

It was great to be back in The Beer School on the 4th of July. Well organised inside as well outside in the beer gardens. The staff were brilliant with a full table service. It felt safe and calm. As always the beer on offer was superb. Look forward to going back. Definitely a thumbs up.

No hot water in the ladies toilet .Surely this is a health and issue particularly in these times of corona virus . No heating . Beer quality inconsistent . Seating uncomfortable, to say the least

A favourite of mine. Award winning ciders and beers. Always something different and something for everyone. Great staff, dog friendly even though I don’t have one, games for anyone, child friendly, a lovely upstairs area to hold a meeting/ gathering, small, but nice outside area, bands on Sunday, language conversation night I think on a Wednesday, you can take your own food or order from a local business (take rubbish away though), Prosecco or wine available, but don’t forget this is a tap not a wine bar. Keep up the good work Rachel and the team!

Just what westhoughton needs is The Beer School. Beer is always top notch and changes weekly. Coupled with friendly and knowledgeable staff what more could you ask for ? A must visit.
