Received a £25 Bluewater gift voucher which was valid for 1 year however I emailed 5 days after expire date and asked if it could be extended a further 2 days and I will redeem then. Customer service refused to honour this and responded with “As a business some of our income is generated when part or all of the Gift Card balance is unspent past the expiration date.” It is disgusting for a large company to be keeping money from people especially when it had only expired by 5 days. Customer service also added a very patronising comment at the end of their email which said “I would like to point out that in the vast majority of cases, the full balance is spent within the first three months following the purchase of the Gift Card.”
Very shocked and appalled.

We were driving back from Suffolk one Sunday in January recently and took the decision to turn off the motorway to check out the Bluewater Shopping Mall. It's been open nearly a quarter of a century but none of our family had ever been there.
Anyway, it took some time to negotiate the roads leading into one of the many covered car parks but we found our way and were able to park close to one of the big department stores free of charge. The place was bustling, by the way. I guess, it being a horrible, rainy Sunday afternoon many people had come here for something to do.
We took our time to explore both floors of this huge place. We liked the large range of different types of shops given that the majority seemed to be selling clothes. I was intrigued by the number of small groups of highly painted, scantily dressed teenage girls running around. Not living in the UK I didn't realize that the fashion for young teenagers here is to plaster their faces with makeup and wear ridiculously long false eye lashes. But I digress...
We were grateful for the number of relatively modern, clean restrooms available. And there is a large choice of eating venues even though the main food court area was teeming and it took quite some time and some bravery to find a table and sit down to enjoy a coffee/tea and a pie from Greggs. The cacophony of noise there was quite incredible.
All in all, we were pleased to have finally visited this place. But if we ever come back I'd choose a quieter day (assuming there is one!).

Considering the high amount of CCTV and Security, and an onsite police station.. again tonight one lad was surrounded and threatened, over a 10 minute period right in the middle of the food Hall.
All of a sudden there are no security guards or staff to be seen.
The lad ended up having his trousers pulled down.
It's simply not a safe place for anyone under 20 to go shopping anymore.
This time it was a large group of the travelling community of ages from 15 to 25 going round causing trouble and not even approached or dealth with. I'm sure they'd have reacted if someone stole a Mars bar though!

Ice rink - Winter only
Bluewater in general is easy to navigate, three corners with flagship shops so very clear where you are. Lots of loos and coffee shops.
Ice rink - going with a nervous skater was an eye opener. Boots are fine, bit of a bundle when they open the sides to get on. Then far too many people to feel safe, and a mix of penguins (for kids to stand and slide with) seals (for kids to sit on and be pushed round on) and weirdly aggressive dads showing off their ‘skills’ shoving their kid round at high speed made it a bit scary. The practice area is tiny and full of little kids.
My teen gave up after about 20 minutes and 30 minutes into the 45 minute slot had their boots off.
If you can skate, it’s fabulous.

Visited it today, 04/12/22 astonished by the winterland venue costing £3 entry irrespective of being a child, adult or OAP, astonished to see 4 security on the quiet entrance, that wasn't displaying prices.

Seriously every worker at winterwonderland looks miserable and fed up and it's only the beginning of December, sort out the people who work here or don't employ them, the guy on the ticket booth 03/12/22 (ginger hair) was the first person we encounted, he didn't even break a smile and didn't talk just shoved the card machine in our face, it was comical really. Seriously get rid of him! It's meant to be a happy place for family's and the first person you meet is this miserable thing. Some people where nice like the guy working on the kids monster truck ride but the rest and most looked fed up. Sort it out, I'm not blaming bluewater but if there gonna hire a fun fair like this have a look at who is running the rides. It doesn't look good on them. The one star is for this, no complaints about bluewater itself. But seeing as there isn't anywhere to complain about winter wonderland, I have to do it on here. Seriously sort out that guy on the ticket booth. It was laughable how he was even employed.

We have a gift card due to expire on 10th May 2020 that we have been unable to use due to lockdown / COVID-19. Please confirm whether the expiry date will automatically be extended to cater for these unprecedented times.

The easiest price of art is in the winter garden car park that is an open-air with no width restriction and direct access to Marks and Spencer's some distance from the mobility shop that is it is the closest and easiest to use there are other open Car Parks the one at House of Fraser is closer the car park is more difficult to reach

Ebbsfleet International is also close to Bluewater. Hop on the 484 bus (via Castle Hill and Swanscombe) to Bluewater.

My friend told me there was a lot of high end designer shops at Blue Water including brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton which I thought seemed unlikely? But looking on the website it doesn’t state either of these stores to be located in the shopping centre, could anyone please confirm if LV is at Blue Water :) thank you!

We do not have a Louis Vuitton at Bluewater, we do have designer brands such as Michael Kors,Aspinal of London, Kate Spade, Coach, Ralph Lauren located on the Guildhall.
