Having many shops, the best time to come is 18h, between 19h and 20h with many people.   The stores closed when they sold everything, some leave around 9pm, the last close at 11pm

The night market opens at 4pm in Phuket Town. You must try it. There is also a market only Sunday’s.

The public bus goes along Road 4028 so you may hail the bus along the road. But you might not be able to recognize the public bus, so it is safer to just arrange your own transport. As the last bus leaves rather early from the market, it is probably easier to just take a taxi from the stand, fixed and published prices. My wife did not know the price is fixed so she managed to bargain it down by 50 baht. Anyway I paid the guy the full amount when we reached our hotel. He was quite happy.

It's about ten miles. Perhaps less. Taxi prices are set locally and displayed but we got better prices by bartering with the drivers. They say the prices are set but they do lower prices when asked. I think it was about 500 baht but we got better deal. move to other taxi ranks if they don't lower the prices and then they drop the price.

Yes the bus goes to Phuket town but it stops every so often and no aircon it can be trying!Rather take a taxi and because its a night market rather not travel at night on buses.
