There are a few elephant sanctuary’s in Phuket .. if you stay close to the airport this is a totally enjoyable experience
Charismatic hosts with good humour
Lockers available , showers available after mud bathing and the washing elephants
TIP : TAKE OLD CLOTHES AS THE MUD STAINS
Itinerary: Intro to park , safety talk , elephant education talk, free water, feed elephants first , then change to swim wear and mud bath first , then into another pool wash elephants
The elephant keepers will take photos of everyone and will send them via what’s app at the end , you can enjoy the experience a bit more then but you can take your own pics
Fruit and water supplied at the end and option of painting an elephant fridge magnet

This was THE best experience in Puket!! We booked the half day trip and loved every minute of it! Feel like we got so much out of our money, and I’m so happy to put my money into such a nice company that’s taking such good care of the elephants, they generally seemed so happy and well taken care of. The staff was absolutely lovely and pushed us out of our comfort zone in the nicest way! Keep up the good work! Will recommend to everyone going to Thailand!!

Fabulous all round experience for all of the family.
The elephants were well cared for which was my main priority. The experience was very organised, the staff were fabulous. It was my sons birthday and they made it extra special for him which was greatly appreciated.
You are given the opportunity to make food for the elephants, feed them, give them a mud bath, wash them in the lake and also shower them.
The talk at the beginning was very informative and the guide discussed safety with the group.
The cookery course was an added bonus and the food served was delicious and they catered for vegetarians.
Huge credit to all of the team @phuketelephantcare it was the best trip of our holiday!

This was by far the best place we visited in Phuket.
The staff were really friendly, very funny and extremely welcoming, every member of their team was so passionate about what they do.
From start to finish they were there to help and very thorough in explaining what we would be doing and in what order, this made it much easier for us to know when to put swimming clothes on and when to put our phones away so they didn’t get water damaged.
The experience started with a bit of history about elephants and some great information about what they eat, how much they eat every day and how they compare to African elephants.
We then went outside to feed the elephants and have photos taken. We were careful shown how to prepare the food for them and given clear instructions on how to feed them.
This was already a great experience but it got even better when we were allowed to go into the water with the elephants, we first covered the elephants in mud before going into another pool to wash the mud off again.
As always the staff were there looking after us, taking photos and making sure we were all having fun while being kept safe for the entire duration.
At this point we were all able to use the showers which were separated into male and female, had individual cubicles and were actually kept very clean.
We were then given a Thai cookery class which was great and quite unexpected but very interesting.
The staff then brought out a great selection of buffet food that they had prepared for us, it was really tasty food and catered for vegetarians as well.
And to finish off a perfect afternoon, we were given some great little souvenirs, all free of charge!
I honestly can’t thank the staff enough, they even noticed that my son was wearing a birthday badge and came out singing with a cake after we had finished our lunch!
I would also like to mention that it wasn’t just their guests that were well looked after, most importantly the elephants themselves were very healthy and well looked after by passionate staff.
It’s not very often that we visit somewhere and dont have even a tiny negative to mention but on this occasion we found the perfect Phuket experience!

All the staff are so friendly and care about the elephants which is lovely to see. Would defo recommend this sanctuary over others as it’s ethical !

One of the best activities we did all holiday, the staff were so friendly and helped out with everything, the elephants were really well looked after and we got to feed them, bath with them, clean them and make them food. After we finished with the elephants we got offered a shower and then got to take part in a cookery class and saw how authentic Thai food was made which we then got to eat after and the food was amazing. Couldn’t fault a single thing from the whole day and would definitely want to return!

This was so much better than I even hoped! We did the 1/2 day and you get so much time with the elephants!!! Boom was the one we spent the most time with but the 10 month old and 2 year old! So cute!!!! And sexy grandma! Sam answered any questions we had on the elephants and it is to amazing to see the elephants rescued from logging, elephant rides and shows to see them on 70 acres where they can roam!

The visit to the Phuket Elephant Care was the best organizes trip we had during our two week stay in Phuket and surroundings. The place has a unique energy, created by the animals <3 as well as by the people :)) You can feel how much they care about the elephants, how they know them and how they treat them. The staff is very helpfull and shares extraordinary pictures after the whole experience. The trip is organized in an excellent way, with attention to detail and with a lot of time spent with the animals. What is more - in a safe way. I will never forget our visit, you must go, too ;)
