I've been here several times. I was happy to visit again when out-door spaces re-opened after the Covid 19 shutdown. Got a bottle of locally made wine that was quite nice.

so much variety, friendly people

We stopped here on a Saturday morning on our way to Maracas Beach. There was so much variety in the market - from fruits and vegetables, to arts and crafts, to other eco-friendly products, it was a great place to stop for an iced coffee and relax for a bit.

Eco market 20 mins from Port of Spain

If you happen to be in Port of Spain this haven of rustic local food, drink and crafts is a must visit. Sample locally produced wines, eat a hearty Amerindian breakfast and the chance to speak and laugh with locals who so want to share their stories with you. Have visited on numerous occasions and always leave with a full belly and a smile. Often local speakers present on various eco topics. Highly recommended!

Very good outdoor market with something for everyone

This is one of the most famous eco markets in Trinidad and has something for all ages. Walk with your recyclables and your own bags because this is a zero waste plastic zone. Begin your green market journey with Seaver Street Eats for their famous crepes and grab a cup of freshly ground and brewed coffee grown in the Santa Cruz Valley from a neighbouring stall. The best time to visit is during one of their themed festivals and bring your pets.

Very nice market

This really is a unique market. Firstly it's a green zone, so they do not entertain the use of plastic or styro ware on the compound. They have lots of themed events that allows local small businesses to showcase their business and make money as well. They also do night events such as movie under the stars. It's really a treasure.

Very good local experience

Visited there with my family. An excellent destination that is serene and is surrounded by greenery.
I would recommend arriving there early to take advantage of the parking lot. During off peak season like September the crowds aren't so large. The market opens at 6am on Saturday and 7am on Sunday. There's also buffet on Sunday.

An eclectic array of local cuisine. You can get arepas and crepes of all varieties. Locally made chocolate also awaits you.

Farmers Can Cook!

I was very impressed by this eco project. We arrived too late for the usual stalls selling produce. the afternoon we visited was a cooking competition: each farmer cooked a local dish using their own crops and locally produced fish/seafood/meat. customers bought tickets for tasting portions, all washed down with sorrel sangria:). This is a great project, which is having real impact on community. I hope it grows and is a long-term success. go and see for yourselves!

Good local breakfast

It's a good choice for inexpensive local breakfast without the frills. The pulled pork sandwich, roast bake, empanadas and hot cocoa: coffee drink are terrific. There were only about 8 vendors when I visited and some of them were Venezuelan and Dominicans. One local sold produce and vetivere roots which smelled divine. No frills and a great informal environment. A good stop on the drive to maracas beach on a weekend. It closed in weekdays.

Visit to the Green Market

The green market is one of the favorite places to visit on the island. It is open every Saturday and sometime on a Sunday. It has a mixture of cultural attractions from local foods and crafts. They have a mixture of foods from local to Venezuelan foods. Eg empanadas, arepas, etc. you can find jewelry that is locally made and beautiful art and different herbs . There is usually live music at the venue to relax and listen to.
