Flach und nicht sehr schwierig aber natürlich nah am Atlantik oder ist es schon der indische Ozean .... windig. Nette 9 Löcher, vor dem Lunch waren schön.

Ich habe hier gelesen,wie Spieler nach 9 Löcher durchgespielt haben und dann vom Flight nach ihnen, die an der Reihe waren attackiert wurden ( auch nicht die feine Art). aber wenn man durchspielen will fährt man zur Halfway fagt den Flight der als nächster an der Reihe ist ob man durchspielen kann, wie es eben in Südafrika üblich ist. Vorher Informieren, wenn man die Gepflogenheiten nicht kennt. :)

My husband and I played this course on 3rd March. The Pro was miserable and did not make us feel welcome. It wasn’t encouraging to hear the starter announce you could have a free drop within a metre on the fairways.
The course was in poor condition including the greens.
It is disgraceful that Visitors are charged R580 to play a course in this condition- a very bad experience- we will never return

Die ersten 9 Löcher sind ok, wenn es unter der Unterführung durchgeht, werden die Spielbahnen schlechter. Generell sehr laut und richtig windig.

The course was in good condition and we would have liked the opportunity to complete 18 holes, but having taken 4 hours to play 12 holes and waiting to play every shot we lost the will to carry on.
I am aware the 4 ball behind us also went down to a 2 ball but then gave up,
We were not informed that the course had been taken over by the Military for a competition even though I had spoken to the Pro a week earlier. It appeared that many had not the courtesy, etiquette or golf knowledge to play in a competition. When we later approached the club Pro his response showed a distinct lack of concern, after all the club had got our money. Guess which club I won't be recommending or making a return visit too.

Jokes, it’s not that bad....
Course well enough maintained, friendly staff, small little Proshop, restaurants pizzas worth a mention.
Clubhouse lockers well maintained and clean / neat.

Waren überrascht wie sich der Platz durch den Regen entwickelt hat. Grüne Fairways und genügend Wasser (bei Wasserhindernissen) Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite staff.

It was good to see Pat still on the desk and we received a lovely warm welcome from him as he work away efficiently answering all manner of questions from his swallow clientele.
Anyway the course was very dry but bear in mind the Western Cape is going through one of the worst droughts it has ever had. The greens are in excellent condition despite the dry weather , therefore the greens staff deserve a medal for this achievement. We’ll be back next week and I’m sure we’ll enjoy it every bit as much as we did this week.

Wir haben am 2.1.2018 eine Familienrunde zu dritt gespielt. Es waren 18 Loch geplant, wir hatten aber nach 9 Loch eine Schlägerei! Ja Sie lesen richtig, eine Schlägerei. Es kam dazu, dass wir nach 9 Loch nicht ins Halfwayhouse eingekehrt sind sondern weiterspielen wollten. Keiner vor uns und niemand hinter uns. Nach unserem Abschlag sind wir zu unseren Bällen mit den Carts gefahren und wurden dann von hinten mit zwei Bällen beschossen. Auf unsere Handzeichen flog noch ein Ball. Danach sind wir schnell weiter. Vor erreichen unserer Bälle kam schon ein Cart von hinten angefahren. Die Gentlemen meinten wir müssen Halfway machen und uns danach wieder einreihen, ich wies darauf hin niemanden mit Golfbällen abschießen zu wollen. Darauf stieg er aus und ging mir an die Gurgel. Meine Frau verhinderte schließlich, dass die ich meinen Schläger zweckentfremdet habe.
Das war insgesamt nicht lustig und spricht auch nicht für die Gegend.

Der Platz hat sich in den letzten Jahren enorm entwickelt. Er ist jetzt viel gepflegter und hat seine kleinen Tücken, ist aber insgesamt fair und schön zu bespielen, wenn der Wind es zulässt.
Alles in allem ist zu wünschen, dass es so weitergeht und dass irgendwann auch das Clubhaus einer Generalüberholung unterzogen wird. Es ist zwar nett, aber, wie die Südafrikaner sagen, mittlerweile ein bisschen "tired".
Alles in allem aber eine Runde wert.....
Alles in allem ist zu wünschen, dass es so weitergeht und dass irgendwann auch das Clubhaus einer Generalüberholung unterzogen wird. Es ist zwar nett, aber, wie die Südafrikaner sagen, mittlerweile ein bisschen "tired".
