Me, my wife, and my kids come here just so kids can play. Decided to book my daughter birthday party, reasonable price, food great for the kids and great entertainment! Kids will never get bored.

We had our very own host “Ty” and she was amazing, very friendly and great with all the kids. Made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door until the minute we left. Would 100% recommend.

Me and my family travelled 1 hour to visit this play centre Friday 16th and had the worst experience I have ever had in my life!
We are now 3 days on and had no email back from owners.
My disabled son was refused entry to the sensory room because he is ‘too old’ by the bouncer they have on the gate so anyone that plans on going i advise you take ID for your little ones for the minimum wage play centre bouncers. When explaining my son can’t walk unaided, is visually impaired and had the cognitive age of 12-18 months the bouncer went to get her manager THEA. THEA bounced over like the devil reincarnated. When trying to explain the situation to her she responded by saying ‘I have head it all before’ so not the first time they have disregarded ‘THE EQUALITY ACT’. Dismissive right from the start, when she eventually let us speak and we once again said we only wanted to carry him to the back of the area to the sensory room as he can’t physically access any other part of the play centre she very arrogantly and abruptly said ‘No he can use the big play frame’. Once again we explained that no he physically can not do that and for me to even try and juggle him climbing up to this part would be incredibly dangerous as he has a low bone density therefore would be an extreme hazard to him. Manager THEA responded with ‘that’s not my problem. During this whole interaction multiple people had gathered and were appalled by how this manger was speaking to ourselves and handled the situation. Another parent commented on how her 3 year old that was currently in the toddler area was much bigger than my son. I understand health and safety is high priority to keep children safe but as stated in The Equality Act ‘ reasonable provision is to be made in order for equal opportunities for a disabled person except where it effects the safety of others’. Now if this legislation had for one second been taken into account by manager THEA then my son would have been able to access the sensory room as there was 1000% no risk to anyone’s safety. My child has the build of a small 4 year old and built like a toothpick. But as seen in other reviews discrimination happens a lot in this setting. We also stated she was discriminating against my son and quoted the equality act to manager Thea and the only response we got was a shrugged shoulder. I am proud of how calm me and my family were during this whole interaction because this was by far the most disgusting customer service I have seen in my life. I emailed over my complaint on Friday which I wish I had waited a day or two to do because In anger I didn’t give all the details I should have, but I have yet to receive a response. Also awaiting a refund that the manager said we would receive. Today we are in 2024 and still parents are made to feel they shouldn’t leave the house with their disabled/ special need children because the world can’t adapt to support them. These people should be ashamed of themselves

We drove 1 hour to visit after seeing positive things about this place. Firstly, my children loved it and it had a fantastic range of dairy free snacks which was amazing as normally we can never treat my youngest to chocolate or snacks as she has a dairy allergy.
The drinks / snacks are expensive but a good range.
This would have been a 4/5 star review however, it’s 1 for what I witnessed and the reason I will never return.
A parent tried to enter the 3 and under section with her gorgeous little boy who clearly had additional needs, with mobility and sensory issues, we were later told he was also registered blind.
They wanted to go into the under 3 section to the sensory part with him which you can only access this section from the under 3. There is larger sensory areas but they are loud and very busy, which from my observations would not have suited this little boys individual needs.
I’d guess he may have been around 4, only because of the refusal to allow him in gave away he was over 3. The staff refused, the manager then came over and also refused and had no valid reason, saying no and that was that. She was smirking and at one point said “I’ve heard it all before”.
Now my 3 year old who as in there, was much bigger and clearly heavier than this little boy, and an adult also HAS to go in this area with a child, so I can’t see how it could have been a health and safety issue? The little boys additional needs were obvious, he was very quiet and calm being carried by his nan cuddling into her. It broke my heart.
The family explained this very calmly to the manager who just said no, no explanation. This was a large family, who had also travelled an hour and ended up leaving immediately after feeling discriminated against. I’m a very understanding person and can usually see things from all sides, but this was handled terribly. If the family had not have been honest about his age, they would not have known any difference, because as I said he was smaller than my 3 year old.
I understand the reason for under 3 sections in play centres and the need to be strict, however staff / managers should be able to use some discretion in circumstances like this, where health and safety is not impacted, and at the very least have empathy and understanding. This little boy would not have been able to use the rest of the play area. I would definitely guess some of the children in there were over 3.

I won’t return after this, children with additional needs experience enough stigma and discrimination in their lives, so without a valid reason, I feel this disgusting. I really hope something is learnt from this, and managers and staff receive some equality and diversity training. “The Equality Act requires reasonable provision to be made for equal opportunities for disabled people except where it affects the safety of others. The Act also applies to places where children play (play areas, games area etc).
I was not with this family, but was sat by the gate to the under 3 section, so I witnessed and heard it all.

Thank you for your review and letting us know about your experience and sharing your concerns. We are sorry that you felt the manager was not empathetic in their response and did not provide a clear explanation to why the family could not use this area. We are required to provide a space for children aged 3 and under to play safely away from older children. This is a requirement of RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and British Standards BS EN 1176 whose guidelines we follow. It is also a special condition of our public liability insurance and for this reason we are unable to deviate from this requirement or make exceptions. We staff this area at all times and do not allow children aged 4 and older to use this area. We offer an alternative sensory area called Safari Falls for children aged 4 years and over which is accessible, on ground floor level and offers immersive and interactive sensory activities for children as well as bubble tubes, a sound and music area and role play. This area has been specifically designed to provide access for older children to enjoy independently or for families with children in both age groups to access a sensory play experience together with parental supervision. Our manager did offer to show the family this area, but they declined. We appreciate it was busy at the time of your visit due to the school holidays, and we would always recommend an early morning or school day visit to customers who would prefer to visit us at a quieter time. Would not recommend this place for children with SEN we went as a group (family) of 12 6 kids 6 adults 3 with SEN 2 non verbal, 1 partially sighted with mobility issues.
We settled into the play centre and it looked great we had read all the reviews and watched TikToks. My three older kids ran off to play while my nieces two children with SEN and my other nieces little boy went into the 3 and under part we had looked round before the kids went off to play and all agreed that the swing in the under three area would be amazing for my great nephew. My nieces and there kids walked into the play area to be told my great nephew of 4 who is partially sighted and cannot walk unaided was to old to go into the area we tried to explain his needed and the girl on the gate seemed to understand but couldn't let him play ! We then asked for the manager we got Thea well this lady was more than rude telling us my nephew couldn't go in that it wasn't her problem he couldn't play in the older kid area. She had heard it all before she said a few times. A lot of people who where sat watching and listening where in shock at how my niece was spoken to while all this going on round our children and others in the play area. My great nephew is very small for his age and people commented there child of 3 and under where bigger than him. The fact this manager had absolutely no regard for this little boy is one thing but the way we all where spoken to by her was awful. We got told to contact the owner and to email them for a refund ! Awful place and staff to match

Thank you for your review and letting us know about your experience. We are very sorry that you felt this situation was not handled with the empathy we would expect and that your family were not provided with a clear explanation to why your family member who was 4 years old could not use the area for children aged 0-3 years. Our management and staff are trained to understand the reasons why these requirements are in place and the alternatives they can offer. Our play facilities are designed and operated based on BS EN1176 and guidance from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) which states that there should be a separate area for children aged 0-3 years to play away from older children for their safety and that this should be actively enforced. Risk assessments are based on physical age not mental age or ability. This age restriction is written into our Public Liability Insurance as a Special Condition and is why we were not able to make exceptions. Failure to adhere to this condition would invalidate our insurance. We have approached our insurers to see if there is anything more we could have done on the day, and they have confirmed that we have a contractual obligation to enforce the ruling that children aged 4 years or older cannot use the area designed and isolated for the use of children aged 3 years and younger. They also went on to confirm that with respect to SEND children, they recognise that this is a highly complex area and last week started a project looking at how they can address some of the challenges that indoor play owners face in encouraging inclusivity whilst adhering to the insurance policy conditions. They are involving key stakeholders to ensure that all areas of the conversation can be addressed and listened to in order to create an agreeable way forward for all. We hope the above clarifies why this was not discrimination. We are aware that you have contacted the Association of Indoor Play of which we are trade members, who have responded to confirm this information is correct. We offer an alternative sensory area called Safari Falls for children aged 4 years and over which is accessible, on ground floor level and offers immersive and interactive sensory activities for children as well as bubble tubes, a sound and music area and role play. This area has been specifically designed to provide access for older children to enjoy independently or for families with children in both age groups to access a sensory play experience together with parental supervision. Visited head over heels for the first time today with my friend who had been before and my little one. I was so impressed from start to finish!! Katie on reception was so incredibly friendly, she showed me where everything was, gave me recommendations which areas to take my one year old and on the way out gave my girl a sticker to make her happy when she didn’t want to go home!! Definitely the best first impression to walk into for someone visiting.
All the staff were so friendly, the facilities were sparkling clean (usually I’m scared of soft plays because of germs but this one is beautiful!) the all day unlimited play was perfect for us to play and have lunch and take our time! I honestly can’t wait to go back and neither can my little girl.

We held my son’s 4th birthday party here at the weekend - the disco party with use of the superhero pod. Everything ran smoothly and everyone enjoyed it. It was well organised and Sophie was a great host. I would highly recommend to other parents to host their party here.

Amazing facilities, my children absolutely love it here. However, I’ve brought my kids here numerous times before and each time I’ve experienced customers being nasty and rude to staff members who some are still children themselves. I’ve seen staff members upset and look like they’re going to cry because of this and not once have I seen management defends their staff as this is an ongoing thing. Something needs to be done about this as I feel awful for staff and it brings the whole experience down. I don’t want my children being around this awful behaviour from angry customers and I believe management need to address this situation and perhaps put out a statement to any social media’s that this behaviour is not tolerated at any times and these customers should not be allowed around children’s play centres. I believe head over heels are prioritising money over staff well-being. I will not be returning until this issue and behaviour is resolved.

Lindsey ( 28/12/23) working in the café downstairs was amazing made us feel so comfortable 10/10 customer service! She’s was so lovely to my kids honestly the absolute!!!!!!!! Thank you for making this a great experience

We had the best time celebrating my daughter’s 2nd birthday today at Head Over Heels. Our party hosts Evie & Ty were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. The children loved the songs and dancing in the disco room and the food was delicious. My 10 year old step son loved playing football whilst the younger ones were loving the big slide and the safari room. Would definitely recommend and return ☺️ thank you xx
