Absolutely fabulous morning. Matilda is unbelievably knowledgeable on all her birds. So enjoyed holding and stroking some of the owls. Lucy the little owl is so lovely. Cats, dogs and meerkats, what more could you want. We will be back.

Absolutely outstanding visit and it was clear to see that our host Matilda was passionate about rescue and education around raptors.

What an amazing place, owls, kestrels, meerkats, cats , dogs, hedgehogs, tortoise and rescue birds. It is clear these animals are beautifully cared for and loved. Matilda was lovely and welcomed us into her home, offering refreshments whilst she told us the history of the rescue centre.
She runs entirely on donations and we were more than happy to contribute. Definitely worth a visit! 5 stars and more ❤️❤️

Fabulous place to visit (Book in advance!!) for an experience not to be forgotten. We were welcomed by Mathilda into her home, a superb example of a cave house, and introduced over coffee to Lucy the Little Owl. One friendly and informal chat about the sanctuary and its residents later, we met and interacted with the other birds and animals while being told about their stories. Most of them are friendly and can be handled, while others are as expected quite wild. We spent almost 3 hours with Mathilda and her "family" and could quite easily have stayed longer. Stick this on your to-do list.

What a beautiful morning spent here. An amazing experience to learn about birds and other wildlife. Inquisitive meerkats to relaxed tortoise. Our recent trip was made unforgettable by the cheeky Pi who was centre of attention for the whole experience. To learn about the birds and the different species and be able to be up close and personal with them is an experience I will never forget. Thank you for a great visit.

Un lugar que todo el mundo debería visitar en el que se cuidan especialmente aves rapaces nocturnas y algún otro animal. La dueña está especializada es sus cuidados, recuperación y reintroducción a la naturaleza, además es muy amable y hospitalaria. Si tienes fobia a los pájaros también hace terapia con ellos y contigo. Se nota el cariño que les tiene y sobre todo lo bien cuidado que están tanto por su estado de salud (limpieza y buen estado del plumaje) e incluso que puedes acariciarlos, algo que solo es posible si la persona que los tiene, los cuida especialmente bien. Se agradece hablar en inglés ya que es nativa y así se practica el idioma, aunque no es necesario. Y si por algún casual alguien encuentra algún animal, aunque especialmente una rapaz, puede ponerse en contacto con ella que le informará y ayudará sin compromiso. También se aceptan donaciones, que aunque ella no las va a pedir, se las merece por su gran labor.

She took the time for us and gave a personal and also informative story about all the animals. She has such a great passion for these creatures. Such a wonderfull experience. I will never forget it. A must it you are in the area. Cause you will also be supporting a great cause.

Went here as a special birthday treat for a 76 year old Aunt who has a thing for Owls. It is quite difficult to find if you rely on a Sat Nav device. Our Wayz took us into some extraordinery routes that were no where near the destination entered. Eventually had to call the owner for directions which were spot on. I suggest you get her to send you directions before you set off. The lady who runs this is passionate about the birds and animals in her care. She is extremely knowledgeable about all of her charges and endevours to return them to the wild when possible. Aunty was thoughly enchanted by the owls. Like a kid in a candy store. Her eyes lit up every time she was able to hold or touch one of the birds.

Buenas me gustaría saber si los animales atados y encerrados y porque no están en libertad?o es que son criado en cautividad.
