Elephant experience.

We took the half day activity in the afternoon. The place was an hour far from our hostel but they took us in the hostel. All the people working with the elephants were really nice. The guide was a very kind and friendly guy that explain us all the history and the situation of the elephants in Thiland. Then we feed the elephants, we played with them in the mat and finally have a bath with them in the river. Amazing experience. Finally they offer us a delicious Pad Thai for lunch. Once the activity was over, they left us in the hostel door.

已经废弃了

不要来，已经废弃了，从small farm开车过来，都是乡间小路，没有一个人，没有一头大象，只有一只村狗，地上有老早之前打的桩，应该是当时想扩建，后来经济太差取消了

Special Experience

We happened to meet a really kind and lovely couple from northern London, that we shared a very special two day, overnight experience with the Maeklang Team.
Thanks to the owners Khee and Meow for the hospitality. The owners have chosen tour guides such as Adam and Pow who clearly LOVE and deeply care for the elephants, and respect their role in helping tourists understand the shift in treatment of elephants. I don’t understand enough about the overall sanctuary movement, but for the current situation we experienced, the main focus was safety first and kindness to elephants and environment, including hill tribes.
My husband and I wish only the best to continue the social responsibility that Maeklang and other sanctuaries are doing. Thank you for such a highlight to our latest travels in Chiang Mai.
And to “Jackie” Chan, our musical driver, enjoy the cutest puppies!!!

This is the first ever elephant sanctuary I have visited. Loving the concept of breaking the cruel traditional entertainment using elephants in the past and also now. Also very friendly boss, tour guide, and everyone else from the centre, we truly enjoyed our time spent! And must meet Oliang & Susie in the centre, no way they're not human being but 2 lovely dogs that you would want to spend time with too.

A Terrific Half Day Tour

If you don't have a lot of time in Chiang Mai, try this half day tour to see and visit with the local elephants. The bathing of the younger elephants was so much fun. The playful elephants happily sprayed the tourists with river water. This was actually refreshing on a hot day! A brief show of the elephants talents rounded out the tour.

The experience of a lifetime

This was the highlight of our visit to Thailand. We were educated how elephants are trained and used the clear forests and brush, and learned the process a young elephant has to go through so it can be ridden. It was really hard to hear, but great respect grew for places like Maeklang Conservation Community. We're so grateful to have spent the day learning and playing with these magical, beautiful animals. God truly exists in the hearts of the people that have committed themselves to protecting, fighting for these amazing elephants, and educating visitors. We highly recommend a visit if you're planning a trip to Thailand and find your self near Chiang Mai. Absolutely life changing.

Incredible experience

Simply amazing! Highly recommended. Our group was led by Adam, very knowledgeable. Inspiring mission to save these elephants. Very fairly priced 1800 baht - roughly $50 US dollars. Completely worth it . Lunch was great. Overall unforgettable trip
