What we meant exactly: 1) We have 2 options for the trips - Manta Bay and Manta Point. The second option is much better and we always recommend it but it happens more rarely because we need more people to be able to go to Manta Point as it is a much longer ride. You chose to go to Manta Bay. 2) We always explain that in Manta Bay will be A LOT OF PEOPLE. Nusa Penida is one of the most accessible places in Asia to see mantas and it attracts a lot of people. Can we personally do something with it except warn you in advance? Yes, some people behave terribly there. That's why we define that it is so important to provide detailed briefing and explain the rules. Which most of the operators do not do. 3) We never promise to meet with mantas. As nobody does. It is wild nature, right? You've seen two. This is not always happening. 4) We always explain that you need to go to the harbor from the school by your own transport or we can arrange it for you. It is written everywhere that we are located 10 minutes from the harbor. 5) We always honestly explain that our trips are more expensive and why: we provide good equipment, we provide a detailed briefing, and amenities such as hot showers, towels, seasick pills, safety boxes, etc. We define it as valuable facilities. If people do not need it and want a cheaper option we always honestly tell them that they can check directly in Toyapakeh or Crystal Bay. 6) We absolutely agree with you about the trash problem. It exists in Indonesia. And we are all responsible for that. What we can do about it? We provide free water refills in the school to avoid new plastic on the island, organize regular clean-ups, educational programs for children, support the local community, etc. We do what we can. But I don't think it is our personal fault that during your trip it was a lot of trash in Manta Bay. Yes, it can happen especially during the rainy season.
