$10 an hour to park. What an appalling ripoff. If you want to visit the beach for the day and then lunch add that up.

This is one of my favourite beaches to walk as it is a good length. I don't like swimming here as much as there are a few random rocks.

The sand was steep and windswept but it's a nice long beach with lots of variety, including a rockpool on a spit in the middle and a shallower basin to the north, plus a headland above that with spectacular views. Smashed Newport Beach easily but the quiet Bungan was better for me.

Mona Vale may not be the most picturesque of the Northern Beaches but it makes up for this in lots of other ways. It offers something for everyone: families, swimmers, surfers, walkers, even beach fishermen. There is a good-sized carpark though parking is very expensive if you are not a local. It is a long beach, so in post-Covid times could be ideal for social distancing! Mona Vale is good for long walks, as for a large part of its length the local golf course backs onto it, giving it a bit more of a 'bushland' appearance, and at low tide it is easy to walk around the rock platform at the southern end and then walk the length of Warriewood Beach, and back again. At the northern end of the beach there is another extensive rock platform out of which a large ocean pool has been excavated. This is popular with swimmers as can be the small sheltered beach beyond the northern platform, which is called The Basin.

Quite a popular beach with an excellent rockpool for swimming in at the Northern end if you don't feel like doing battle with the surf. Plenty of parking at the northern end with amenities and a playground.

I had to come here as many, many years ago I lived on the beach but unfortunately the units were I lived is now a car park! It brought back so many memories and still has a lovely feel to the place. Had a sandwich in the cafe, it was a little salty but such a lovely place!

Mona Vale beach is a good beach if you like dumping waves. It is a long beach with lots of area to sit and swim.

Great place to surf, body surf etc. Good clear water, not too many rocks. Good food options close by too.

After a day visiting Mona Vale Beach you will brighten up your glow with a splash in the surf. It is very clean and refreshing way to enjoy a day out without the expense of Sydney living. Bring your children as the life guards are well qualified and always on the look out for your own safety and the safety of your children.

This little kiosk is at the Northern end of the Mona Vale SLC building on the foreshore. It is an authentic beach cafe, perhaps from a bygone era, except it does sell wine and beer. My wife had the calamari and salad with a side of chips and I had the fish and chips and the fish content, which was New Zealand hoki was so substantial I couldn't quite finish it. We brought our one wine, a French rose,which is a standout but the BYO charge of $6 was on the high side for the glass and ice bucket. However, the calimari and fish and chips at $19 and $22 were good value and gave us a total of $54. No view to speak of, but great location.

There is plenty of parking at Mona Vale Beach. A vast majority is parking meter (I am unsure of the fee per hour or for the day. This might be on the Northern Beaches council website). The parking in marked bays is at the northern end. There is also free street parking and parking around the park at the beach for free. This is limited time parking (1-2 hours I think). Hope this helps

No. This is the rule on most Sydney beach. There is a dog park in Bayview where dogs can swim.
