每次下新竹,從台北轉運站搭國光號到新竹轉運站,徒步至市區城隍廟,有好多攤都是新竹的道地小吃,蚵嗲,炸薯條，肉圓,個個羹,綜合羹,炒米粉,粉圓冰,鴨肉麵,潤餅捲,繞吃了一圈,再去城隍廟外看看有其他的小吃,阿忠冰店,芋泥,冬瓜茶,石家魚丸(伴手禮),每每都大豐收,吃美食心情非常滿足!

農曆大年初三，陰雨綿綿，台北搭國光號遊新竹，在城隍廟裡及附近吃吃喝喝，柳家排骨飯，蚵嗲，郭家潤餅，個個羹，炒米粉，肉圓，葉家大粒粉圓加芋泥(熱芋泥加豬油),肉粽，鴨肉麵，阿忠冰店，太豐盛好吃，雖然一直下著雨，搭車新竹遊還是非常有 Fu 的唷！

Hsinchu Cheng Huang Temple is a centre for worship in Hsinchu, in central Taiwan. It dates from the Ching Dynasty (1644 - 1911. It was an important place of worship during the Japanese colonial era (1895-1945. The temple is dedicated to Cheng Huang, he city god. Mainly people pray for batter lives, or to avoid floods and drought. It is an interesting temple, it has 12 festivals a year. The festivals are interesting, everyone with an open mind is welcome.

これまで廟口に飲食店があるところはみたことはありますが、ここの様に飲食店と一体になっているのは初めてでした。狭い通路の両側にたくさんの飲食店がひしめいています。新竹ではビーフンと肉団子(貢丸)が名物です。

This is a fascinating temple. The entrance is not at all obvious but once you enter it is a cacophony of sounds and a medley of smells and colors. Cheng Huang Temple is one of the oldest temples on the island and is enduringly popular. The temple does not have magnificent statues, but it seems to gain its popularity by answering the prayers of the faithful. By the way, the temple's fish ball soup and vermicelli noodles are famous and many visitors visit mainly for the food.

We visited Chenghuang Temple in the evening through an entry other than the front door so I have no information on how to find the temple from the street. I thought this oldest temple in Taiwan small but it may just be the floor plan
After viewing the holy areas we walked through a hallway to an indoor area where many stalls are selling food. It was very crowded so we had to wait to be jammed in at a small table. If you cannot read the menu you may wish to determine your dinner by looking at the food on display at the stalls. My hosts ordered food totally foreign to me including congealed duck blood. This was my first meal in Taiwan which introduced me to what I consider to be strange foods. Incidentally, if you -- like me have not mastered chop sticks - be sure to pack a fork when you travel, If you forget there are a number of stores where utensils may be bought.

城隍廟是新竹的地標也是香火鼎盛的信仰中心今天來還有歌仔戲劇團演出
遊客非常多人潮擁擠不能觀賞太久
環境有點髒亂
但有很多小吃美食
我們吃了「林家肉圓的肉圓和綜合湯」、「柳家肉燥的控肉飯和炒米粉」、「王記蚵仔煎」、「郭家潤餅」
最喜歡王記蚵仔煎....
遊客非常多人潮擁擠不能觀賞太久
環境有點髒亂
