Taipei Zoo and the Maokong Gondola are worth doing and great value. I would recommend the glass bottomed Gondola to give more impressive views below your feet of the tree tops and terrain. Wait time for the glass bottomed gondola was only slightly longer that the standard ones. Was about a 30 minute train ride back in to Taipei City. Taipei 101 is also very impressive, Night view was amazing but needs to be clear. Also a shopping area with in the tower and a new strip only a few minutes walk from the base.

Its certainly roomy enough for that, i guess just depends on how many people are riding the same time as you? and what they are carrying with them.

We could not use You-You card.　We paied by cache for round ticket.

It depends if the weather. If it's a bad one, no.

Btw, we had the hotspring bath in Beitou.. In the room,there were complimentary tea, coffee and water available. Another round of complimentary tea and dessert was served on another floor at the end of the session.

私の見た限りドイツ料理のレストランは見当たりませんでした・・・ パスタ、ピザ、パン等のカフェレストランは点在していましたが、入らなかったので美味しいかどうかは不明です。ただ、見晴らしはＯＫな様子でしたので休憩するには良いかと思います。

IMO the Easy Card is the best way covering both subway and the gondola cable car. The Gondola costs about 50 NTD as I recall, and it's nearly impossible to spend 200 NTD bumming around the subway in just one day... it is very economical. So it beats a one day pass. Also you don't take subway from zoo to Maekong Gondola.. (you get off the subway at the zoo station... take escalator down a floor, and when you exit stay on your side of the street and walk to the left about 5 mins.. and there is the entrance to the Maekong Gondola - CLOSED MONDAYS!!) You can get the Easy Card at metro station... there is a large machine where you pay 100 NTD for the card, and then you "top up" the card with whatever amount you like (300 NTD will do you well). When you no longer need the card as you leave Taipei, you go to the metro attendant booth and they will refund you what you did not spend, plus about 80 NTD back from your 100 NTD deposit as well. The Cards don't have expiry dates. 7-11 is one of the very few places where you can buy "asparagus juice" and not all of them carry it. It's an acquired taste a local introduced me to - sounds weird, but it's actually quite good. Have a great trip!
