Very impressed with Mellow Velo's. Have hired multiple times and always an excellent experience. Bikes very good, Nik is very friendly and helpful. Lots of route advice available. Bikes always prepared to a very high standard and run impeccably without any issues. Helps to make sure you're comfortable on the bike and have the right 'fit'.

We rented 15 E-bikes and regular bikes from Mellow Velos Roubia and had an outstanding experience and a fun ride!! Over the years we have rented from other bike shops all over Europe and Mellow Velos was the best. They responded quickly to every email I sent and spoke to me in detail when I called. Two of us kept E-bikes an additional 3 days and all bikes were in perfect working order. They offered good suggestions and warned us of potential concerns about the busy road by our rental unit. We appreciated knowing this and were able to plan in advance with that in mind. We commented about their top notch service - multiple times going above and beyond what we expected. They smiled and said they want everyone to enjoy their rides. If you are thinking of renting bikes we can definitely recommend Mellow Velos.

Bonjour,
Nous avons loué une remorque pour enfants afin de descendre le canal du midi jusqu'à la mer. Le périple a été formidable mais l'expérience avec Melow Vélos très mauvaise. Voici les explications :
Aucune amabilité ni même un effort pour parler français (le loueur et sa femme n'acceptent de parler que l'anglais).
Remorque louée dans un état lamentable, pas de suspensions alors que nous avions prévenu que nous transportions 2 enfants en bas âge.
Aucune flexibilité sur les horaires pour récupérer puis rendre la remorque. Ils ont fermé le magasin le matin où nous avions convenu de venir récupérer le matériel! Pour le retour, pas de possibilité de rendre le matériel après 18h, pas 1min de plus car après c'est "fermé". Nous avons tout de même pris le risque de venir après 18h car nous n'avions pas le choix et là nous avons trouvé Monsieur et Madame en train de prendre l'apéro à côté du magasin. Ils rigolaient bien.
Pour conclure ces gens se moquent des clients, n'aiment pas les enfants ou les familles et devraient changer de métier.

We had a lovely ride along the Canal du Midi from Paraza to Le Somail (approx 10km each way) with our 2 children (6 and 13 years old). All 4 bikes of very good quality and were very well maintained.
The ride to Le Somail took longer than anticipated so I called Mellow Velos who were absolutely fine with our delayed return (we were over an hour late in the end). The service all round was professional, helpful and friendly.

Great choice of quality bikes for all levels including kids. Bikes can be picked up or delivered if you live nearby Paraza. The cost is very high and there is no obvious reduction in price for longer periods of rentals. I thought the owners were unfriendly, we asked about cycling routes and they told us to check them on Strava. I spoke French with them but immediately they switched to english. The entire experience felt odd. I am Not sure I will be rushing back next time we are in the area.

I confess to being confused by this review. All our sales material, web or print, makes clear that our pricing reflects longer-rental periods, with prices for our VTC falling from 21€ for a single day to 10€ per day after 3 days. As far as routes are concerned, once again, our adverting illustrates that we have a choice of over 50 day routes, depending on distance, ability and object of the day out. We have never referred any day-hire rider to Strava, for the simple reason that we have no routes on that platform. You are right, however, that whilst we may start a conversation in French, if it becomes clear that a simpler and easier conversation can be had in English, we will revert to that, for the benefit of everybody, and if appropriate. You obviously did not enjoy your experience with us, and i can only apologise for that, and if you make contact with us directly, we will endeavor to offer you an opportunity to experience the level of service that we expect of ourselves.

We did a 30 km loop along beautiful villages and the Canal du Midi. The bikes were of excellent quality and we received a detailed route to follow. I strongly recommend!

Vince was very helpful during the planning of the trip, organising the delivery of the bike to my hotel and suggestions for routes. What was particularly important and greatly appreciated was his response when there was an issue with the bike - coming to resolve it within a matter of hours. Made for a great trip. Thank you!
