Just visited with my two teenage sons had a wonderful time playing not only with the hedgehogs but also sugar gliders. They also have a Chilean rodent called a Degu. So much fun - right across from 7-11 on floor 4.

One of our must do on our trip to Japan and it didn’t disappoint. Cute hedgehogs to hold and feed plus sugar gliders and a rodent. If you want to book you must do it before 9pm the day before we missed the cut off so just turned up in the hope they had a vacancy which they did. Friendly staff who are eager to help.

HAGU Cafe (ハグカフェ) features both hedgehogs and degu, a cute rodent-like animal that originates from Chile. The name of the cafe itself is actually a combination of the first katakana syllable for hedgehog in Japanese (ハリネズミ), and the last katakana syllable for degu (デグー). The good thing about it being less known is two-fold: there are less people, and it’s slightly cheaper. It is cost 1,200 yen pp for 30 mins, while HARRY Roppongi costs 1,400 yen
pp/30 mins.
The degu was hyperactive but in contrast hedgehogs seem to prefer to be left alone. One of the ones we chose even fell asleep while it was in the petting box.
The most enjoyable part was feeding them the live mealworms, which they did pay attention to.

I went there being invited by some friends. Before that, I didn’t know it actually existed, so I went there to discover how it looked like.
Even though half of them were often sleepy or shy, the hedgehogs there were actually reeeally cute!!
For those who are a bit afraid to touch them directly, they lend gloves for free ^^
I highly recommend this cafe for those who are searching for some new experience!

How cute they are!!
I went to visit with my younger friends. At the beginning I wasn’t sure if it was even for me to enjoy! But those Hedgehogs are super cute, I ended up playing with one of cutest one. Highly recommend to take children!!

Hedgehogs & Flying squirrels!!! I had a cute and relaxed 1 hour with my family! Staffs are very nice and gives you advices for everything! It’s in front of the station and I’ll definitely come back again! ARIGATO!
駅からすぐ！綺麗な店でスタッフも優しくて、いろいろ細かく教えてけれて、はじめてだったんだけど、とても癒されました。ハリネズミさん達や人なつこいデグーさん、そしてはじめて出会ったモモンガ！ステキな1時間でした。ありがとう、また来ます！
