This is a terrible place! Animal abuse. Owls like freedom not a small restaurant to live in. Owls sleep during the day how can they sleep when you have people consistently bugging them. This place should be shut down!!

They open at 10am sharply, the mini zoo is on the second floor of a shady looking building. It’s sad the see the animals tied down. You can pay additional to hold them and take a picture...

I went and I really regret. Please do not go.
Decided to go as there was a sign outside giving the impression it was some sort of charity that rescued animals. And I thought it was a good thing to do.
Way too many owls (about 35 I think it said) in a small space. A massive lizard in a tiny cage. It seemed to me he could not move nor turn around. All animals seemed in distress and depressed. Place is dirty, smelly, no fresh air, no real plants only plastic fake stuff. no fresh fruit and veg for the animals that eat that like guinea pigs, only dry biscuts. A lonely terrified meerkat. (And by the way smaller birds and rodents / mammals etc in the same room with the big owls so I'm not surprised they would be terrified.) And I paid a fee (1430) after being told I could interact/ pet all the animals, but in fact a lot of the animals you are not allowed to touch, I got told off for trying to touch a mere chinchilla! They said I would have to pay more!! And the otters... no close interaction with the otters whatsoever. Unless if you want to guess what? pay extra of course to throw some dry biscuts into their corner. Which by the way was tiny and protected by a plastic screen which was so dirt, I couldn't see much. All animals if you wanted to handle them, you have to pay extra. And I think worst of all was a king fisher bird who was just on the floor hiding under a bench, and it seemed to me he had owl poo all over him.
I do not recommend at all this place.

I was so upset by the conditions animals were kept in. Dirty cramped cages. Stuffy small premises with constant blaring pop music. The animals looked and acted distressed. Gnawing and cages , repetitive movements and general lack of space for the size of animals was awful and all were living in conditions so extreme to their natural environment . Owls sitting on top of hedgehog cages. Owls being stroked and poked. I witnessed one huge owl trying to rip its leather harness off. Really really awful. Perhaps the most sad were two otters without water to swim in and a small bird who looked so ill sitting on the floor under the coffee vending machine. The staff are young teenagers who don’t seem to have knowledge of care. I feel really bad that I came to this place just for the novelty and supported it by paying for the novelty. Please don’t go here. It’s a horrific experience.

カフェとありますが、飲み物は一切ありません。
窓のない狭い空間にたくさんの鳥達がいて飛び回り、
時折、耳をつんざくような鳴き声が響き渡ります。
床には食い散らかしたエサやフン。
スタッフさんがたまにモップのようなものをかけてはいましたが。
鳥達は頭や肩、腕や手に乗ってエサをついばんでくれますが、
みんな羽の状態が良くなく、なんとも言えない気持ちに。
フクロウは別の所にいて、ちょっと触るのみでした。
とにかく鳥が好きで、動物園等の飼育小屋の中に
ずっと入っていられる！という方にはいいかもしれませんが...。
鳥達の健康にもっと配慮してほしいと思いました。

Do not support this café. It is genuinely vile. It may seem cute and fun if you don't know about animals - animals are clearly fed and kept clean - but anyone who has the tiniest bit of humanity can see this is awful. Small cages, loud noises, bright lights, getting poked at all day every day with no visible place for them to escape to like humane cafés provide. The worst is the clear boredom and lack of space. The monkey bounced non-stop and chewed at his bars, the meerkats are in a cage probably a more suitable size for a hamster or gerbil, the flamingo repeated the same three steps trying to step over the wooden pole boxing him in the whole time I was there. Trying over and over.
Genuinely vile. These people have a lack of humanity working here. They need to take some time to learn the difference between a happy and a sad animal with creatures that can't tell you they're distressed.

Hibou à l'entrée attaché par les pattes qui fait la joie des passants. Je n'ai pas osé entrer tant l'extérieur m'a choqué. À la lecture des autres commentaires, tous les animaux s'y trouvant y sont maltraités. Établissement à éviter, qui sera fermé rapidement je l'espère.

Une touriste américaine m'avait conseillé l'endroit comme un incontournable à Tokyo.
J'ai été choqué par l'exiguïté de l'endroit pour autant d'animaux sauvages (8 chouettes et hibou de taille adultes (de 30 à 50 cm de hauteur) 2 petit hiboux+ 1 serpent +1 singe + 1 gros rongeur de bien 50 cm (wombat peut-être) 3 cages avec des petits rongeurs, 1 perroquets (cacatoès) 2 flamants roses (nom d'un chien), dans a peine 50 m2.
Les animaux ont l'air apeuré (les oiseaux se planquent dans les coins de la pièces s'ils le peuvent car la plupart sont enchaînés).
Si vous lisez ce commentaire, n'allez pas dans cet endroit !! Il faut qu'il ferme, c'est inadmissible !

Been wanting to experience the famed owl cafes that’s so popular in Japan, we were delighted to chance upon this place after a visit to the temple. While it’s interesting to be so close to the wise ones, it’s kinda sad to see the them chained to their post and not a chance to spread their wings. The kids love the experience but we will not be back again.

Like everyone else, I was charmed with the idea of hanging out with some owls. It’s horrifying inside—the otter has a literal bathtub under a heat lamp and the owls are chained in place. Even the dog looked depressed and abused. You can see the tiny cages where the animals are kept at night, behind a curtain at the register.
The tout outside today was a teenaged American girl who speaks bilingual Japanese. I wanted to ask her why she was working in such a terrible place but she was too busy showing off another chained owl to a group of tourists.
