Much of the park centers on Estes Park and the east half of the divide. However, don't cheat yourself and skip the west half of the park. Farview is western equivalent of Rainbow Curve or Many Parks Curve. The overlook is a similar hairpin turn on Trail Ridge on the western side of the mountain. Here you get great views of the Never Summer Mountains which comprise the western boundary of the park. You also get amazing views of the Colorado Valley as it is formed by the headwaters of the Colorado River. It is hard to imagine in this lush verdant valley that this is the river that will carve red rock canyons in Utah and Arizona, but this is the beginning of the Colorado and the best place to see it is Farview Curve.

You can see multiple mountains from this viewpoint.
We had no issues finding a parking space. People don’t stay there long, since all you can do is take a few pictures and leave.

Mooie lookout op de valley richting Grand Lake. Misschien wat minder spectaculair dan de besneeuwde toppen verderop in het park, maar toch erg mooi, zeker een korte stop waard.

This is another pullout along Trail Ridge Road, on the west side, that offers a good view. From here one can see the entire length of the west side Kawuneeche Valley but I preferred the view of the Never Summer Mountains which appear almost as a wall and forms the continental divide. The view of the mountains was made even better in early October as they were dotted with aspen groves ablaze with autumn color.

If you come into the park from the Grand Lake entrance, it's really cool to stop at this overlook and see the valley you just drove through. There's plenty of parking and great views of the Never Summer Mountains.

When traveling east on Trail Ridge Road, this is one of the great pullouts as you drive up the road. The views of the canyon below are so pretty with more to come as you continue your drive.

Farview Curve Overlook is the first viewpoint on the Grant Park side of the Trail Ridge Road. It has a good view of the west side of the canyon.
We stopped here around noon on the Sunday of the Labour Day weekend. There is no parking lot, only a pull-off that fills up and empties out quickly. We found views of the west side not as dramatic as the east side. Although we drove the rest of the Trail Ridge Road to Grant Park, if you're pressed for time, we recommend turning around here.

This overlook was spectacular after driving up the switch backs to Trail Ridge Road. Coming from the west side, it was the first major overlook that offered colorful fall views of the canyon. It does have a pull off and we had no problem finding a spot to park. It was a simple and quick view so the cars moved in and out fast. Be careful of the traffic moving in and out though, you can come around to this overlook really fast after finishing the switch backs. You also might be too anxious to stop and notice it if you're not paying attention. It is worth stopping!

There are so many wonderful views in rocky Mountain National park. As the driver it was nice to stop and enjoy the view, and take some pictures. There is no services or tables at this lookout but the view of the valley is breathtaking.

After the steep climb from the valley we stopped to take a peek back down . The viewpoint gives a wonderful view of not only the valley below , but the Never Summer Range across the valley . For us it was definitely one of the prettiest stops on the highway .
