Pretty standard trail. Nothing too special about it. Would recommend for someone who doesn't want to go too far into the park.

This walk parallels the main road. It is just a walk, and not scenic. Everything along the way was pretty dried out.

Our group was a mix of people from 3 to 70. This was one of the trails we felt confident to do. It was enjoyable, but nothing special.

I donor consider this to be a trail but rather a one mile path linking the Grotto stop with the Zion Lodge. The path basically adjoins the road Nothing much to see here.

The trail parallels the route of the shuttle, so you won't see anything you wouldn't see from the shuttle. Might as well skip this one, there are much better trails.

Short, pretty little trail that is almost a guaranteed on your visit if you're doing one of the main attraction hikes and depending on parking situations. It's only about 1 mile round trip and links you up to either Angel's Landing trail, Emerald Pools trail or the West Rim trail - so I wouldn't call this one an independent hike - you wouldn't be doing this one all on its own. It's more of a place for overflow parking for some of the main hikes with a small trail to get you to those actual trailheads.
Bc of the parking issues for Angel's Landing, we had to park at the Grotto trailhead which is how we ended up on this trail. It's mostly flat, very well maintained, has a picnic area and nice restrooms. You get amazing views all along it, especially of Angel's Landing off in the distance! It's a great way to start the Angel's Landing hike tbh. We even saw deer!!
And on our way out, some crazy clouds had rolled in and made the rock formations and mountains look so other-worldly and we even got snow as a bonus!! Definitely not disappointed we had to add some extra steps to our Angel's Landing hike! I got some great shots!

This trail actually begins right at the Lodge Shuttle stop. A wooden sign marks the beginning of the trail. A nice wide quiet trail that roughly parallels the road. We saw many deer and some turkeys on the walks along this trail. I liked taking this trail after eating dinner and before it actually got dark outside. That's when the animals become active. What a grand place.

It's just one way to get from the lodge to the grotto to get to other more exciting hikes, such as Angels Landing or the Emerald pools.

Just make sure you are well prepared for this trail with plenty of water and the right shoes with plenty of grip.

The Grotto Trail is a mostly flat trail which takes you from the Zion Lodge (in the Canyon) to the Grotto Picnic Area - or vice versa. Both of these points are also Zion Shuttle stops. The Grotto Picnic Area is very scenic and also gives access to a number of trails - most notably the Kayenta trail which leads to the Emerald pools and gives magnificent views of the Canyon. At the Grotto there is also a small house which belongs to the resident artist of Zion - a painter.
